Although I will say that Cincy can be a little helpful to BYU by taking out Houston this week and then hope that UH beats Memphis. UH is riding high now, but haven't really played anyone. Cincy has a tougher schedule and did beat Miami, so it could go either way, I think. One thing seems pretty certain though. There will be almost no defense played in that game. If these things happen you'll suddenly see BYU jump past these teams and show up on the committee's top 25 list.

A guy from a company who is trying to sell us stuff took me out for lunch yesterday. We were chit-chatting and he told me that he was from Dayton originally. I reflexively almost said "Thanks, Dayton!", but then thought he may not get the reference, so I kept quiet. Looking back though, it would have been a good way to tell if he is a regular here.

Agree. I remember stating this earlier that it is not enough that TCU and Baylor get screwed out of the playoffs, it needs to happen to OU and/or (preferably) UT for the Big 12 to get serious about expansion.

One decent football season only halfway completed (how did Tulane do after going undefeated in 1998/)
Terrible stadium
Basketball support slowly eroding as the Memphis NBA scene develops
Terrible academics
Recruiting? You don't pick expansion partners based on recruiting. That's like buying a car because you like the way the seat reclines.
