Good news. I have been worried about President Monson and his health. Looks like we have at least one more conference with him!Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostA man who views the world the same at fifty as he did at twenty has wasted thirty years of his life. - Mohammad Ali

Why TF would Sunday travel be a sticking point? They get on the plane after the game and in many instances land in Provo well after midnight.

sunday travel is actually a huge sticking point...if you are making up your inside information as you go along and are not aware of the cultural nuances that exist here at BYU.Originally posted by Commando View Post

I was trying to be funny, but then decided it wasn't very funny.Originally posted by scottie View PostThat's pretty good, but wrong thread. I think I saw a "Whoa" from JL before he deleted it.
Thanks for making sure everybody sees my unfunny post.

Seriously, Sunday travel isn't an issue now. Why would it be an issue if they were to join the B12? That's just crazy talk. When do they travel for Monday games? Especially on the back of a Saturday game? Is there no travel on Sunday in those instances?Originally posted by Commando View Post

Just assure BYU that there will be no games on Sunday, tell them when and where the games are, and let them figure out how to get there on time. How does travel even play a role in this? Do the current teams BYU plays tell BYU when they have to travel? Did someone hear about that Reno game with the same day in/out and they have concerns about BYU's ability to make travel plan so they've added that to the negotiations?
I don't get it.

That makes a lot more sense.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View Postsunday travel is actually a huge sticking point...if you are making up your inside information as you go along and are not aware of the cultural nuances that exist here at BYU.
The fact that this WV dude and/or his contacts thinks there is even a remote possibility that BYU would negotiate about Sunday play tells me he is completely clueless.

Joey Ciccarello sez: Houston and USF
http://saturdayblitz.com/2015/07/27/...n-top-targets/
Ok Joey. sure. Many teams come to mind; BYU, Cincinnati, Colorado State, and UCF have been rumored to be in consideration for the past few years. Adding teams like Clemson and Florida State is nothing more than a pipe dream. However, two schools bring the Big 12 the best chance for both short and long-term success: Houston and USF.Fitter. According to this asshat, we may have to give up football if we don't budge on Sunday play
Can anybody here remember ever watching a college football game on Sunday? Apparently it's a deal breaker. And apparently Bronco really has a strong opinion on this, too!
I guess he's right though-- BYU can't expect the Big XII schools to travel so much when BYU doesn't!!

B12 expansion inevitable!

https://www.todaysu.com/big-12-today...f-if-its-when/
The Big 12 Conference is discussing expansion, but not in the ‘hey let’s slap this on the agenda of the next presidents’ meeting and kick the tires’ kind of vein.Oh no, we are far beyond the exploratory stage. The Big 12 is expanding. It isn’t a matter of ‘if.’ It’s a matter of ‘when’ and ‘who.’
In short order the Big 12 has become the least relevant of the power conferences. With only 10 members and no conference championship game, it saw first-hand where it stands when last year’s inaugural College Football Playoff teams were selected.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

Ok Joey. sure.
lol. Those two in particular bring the Big XII the best chance of lowering the bar for average attendance from here on out."I'm anti, can't no government handle a commando / Your man don't want it, Trump's a bitch! I'll make his whole brand go under,"
