Who knows... Maybe he thinks the Big Ten has buyer's remorse and will now kick this non-AAU school out. The honeymoon may be over for Nebraska and the Big Ten.
http://journalstar.com/news/local/ed...39ec5acb4.htmlEmails: Wisconsin and Michigan opposed Nebraska's AAU membership
[...]
Emails and letters obtained by the Journal Star after a series of open-records requests indicate that Wisconsin and Michigan did not support UNL during its turbulent and unsuccessful AAU membership review earlier this year.
The emails and letters hint at dissent within the Big Ten and call into question the pretext on which UNL was invited to join it.
With every other Big Ten school holding AAU membership, UNL Chancellor Harvey Perlman told the Chicago Tribune in 2010, it was doubtful that UNL would have been invited to join the Big Ten had it not been an AAU member.
But emails suggest the leaders of two Big Ten schools -- Michigan and Wisconsin -- were among the 44 university presidents that didn't support keeping Nebraska in the AAU."If there is one thing I am, it's always right." -Ted Nugent.
"I honestly believe saying someone is a smart lawyer is damning with faint praise. The smartest people become engineers and scientists." -SU.
"Yet I still see wisdom in that which Uncle Ted posts." -creek.

Brett McMurphy again reiterated that BYU is not being considered as a candidate. He says if they expand it will not be West.
Not that I necessarily think McMurphy is right, but is independence sustainable? Is there going to be a point where the MWC is the only option?

Yeah, they're not expanding, its just that the university presidents discuss it at every single meeting, they have an expansions committee, and a growing number of coaches have publicly stated they are in favor of it. But yeah, probably in 5-10 years. The college football landscape has been pretty steady over the last 5-10 years as well.Originally posted by USUC View PostBrett McMurphy again reiterated that BYU is not being considered as a candidate. The MWC buys BYU nothing. The MWC means less money and less exposure. BYU would still play crappy teams at home. The only difference is that those crappy teams would be crappy teams the fans are familiar with.
