"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

Google says so. You'll have to ask commando.
At least the Big Ten went after a big-time addition in Nebraska; the Pac-10 wanted a game so badly, it added Utah

So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

          • Wow. Starting to rival the lack of fans at their basketball games.

Still applicable. This is with a brand spanking new stadium too. TCU is a joke.

“When it comes to football, BYU could fit into any conference,” Hudspeth said. “They have great facilities. They have a great fan base. They have the ability to recruit athletes that make them competitive with anyone in the country.

“BYU is one of those schools where they can go anywhere in this country, and in many places around the world, and draw a crowd. They have everything you want if you are a conference out there looking for a member.”

                    Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

                    • The state of Oklahoma is fairly pro BYU to the Big-12 (or at least its media is). TCU and WVU not so much.

Thankfully TCU is barely a blip on the radar anywhere....even in Fort Worth.

WVU will be placated when the b12 adds uconn.

What is the deal with those two? I don't get it.
Will donate kidney for B12 membership.

TCU has been in a conference with BYU and thinks they are dicks.

WVA is on a geographic island and wants someone from their neck of the woods.

                              • They need to add two. So we could add UConn and BYU.

Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.
