Yes it would, and if the P12 had similarly valuable additions you can bet it would be going after them as aggressively as the B12 is presumably going after those 4.Originally posted by Omaha 680 View PostEqual access to what pie? A media deal for a big 12 with the rumored additions would be incredibly lucrative.
If all of this happens, I will tell you that the biggest winner, by far, was TCU, which jumped into the B12 at a time when the B12 had very few other options, and did so despite the fact that TCU has a very small fan base and adds virtually no value market-wise (what does it do for the B12 from a media standpoint that Texas, Baylor, and TTech didn't already accomplish?).
You can guarantee that if this whole thing goes down that there will be teams left in the ACC that are more valuable overall than TCU, that would love to be in the B12, but that are excluded.

That TCU spot should have been BYU's had the admin had any vision. It's OK though, at least we have our BFF in independence with ND.Originally posted by Scratch View PostYes it would, and if the P12 had similarly valuable additions you can bet it would be going after them as aggressively as the B12 is presumably going after those 4.

They were so kind to us in our time of need, bending us over the barrel for a 4/2 deal, while giving powerhouses like Northwestern a 1/1.Originally posted by wapiti View PostThat TCU spot should have been BYU's had the admin had any vision. Into the ACC? Or do you think the mathematically challenged Big XII will go to 16 with us way out west? I just don't see it.Originally posted by The_Douger View PostI'm hopeful if they tear up the ACC that we might get in. If not, we're hosed.Don't worry about people stealing your ideas. I imagine there are more Notre Dame fans on the north side of Chicago than in Provo, Utah.Originally posted by The_Douger View PostThey were so kind to us in our time of need, bending us over the barrel for a 4/2 deal, while giving powerhouses like Northwestern a 1/1.τὸν ἥλιον ἀνατέλλοντα πλείονες ἢ δυόμενον προσκυνοῦσιν

Sure, since it's shifting away from BYU. I bet Texas A&M and Utah's interest in college football isn't doing so poorly these days.Originally posted by calicoug View PostAll this shifting of conferences as a naked money grab is really hurting my interest in college football. Anyone else feel like that?
