BYU would never be able to beat a QB like Heaps, too much talent.Originally posted by MarkGrace View PostAnd they'd be important games, because in '13 we'd be competing with KU for worst team in the B12 and it would likely be one of our few legit shots at a W.Get confident, stupid

There are no commercial flights to Ames. There is, however, a commercial flight to Provo. Frontier has a daily flight between PVU and DEN.Originally posted by Viking View PostIs there even an airport in Ames? I guess there's not one in Provo...
For KSU, Manhattan actually has a commercial airport with flights to/from Chicago and DFW.

Ames and Des Moines are similar to Provo and SLC. Except the airport and capital are in Des Moines and one takes the highway 40 minutes north to Ames.Originally posted by LiveCoug View PostThere are no commercial flights to Ames. Norman and Oklahoma City are similar as well. OK city has the captial and airport and one takes the highway less than 30 minutes south to Norman.
Manhattan...well... fly into JFK or Laguardia and take the subway to where all the big buildings are. If Viking thinks poorly of Lubbock, can't wait to see his reaction to the Little Apple (Manhattan, KS). Or Stillwater, OK for that matter.

Norman is a hole. Edmond is much, much better.Originally posted by Viking View PostI've never been to Norman...anyone been there before?"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. Wow, no love for Norman. I actually liked it out there. The Campus is top notch for Oklahoma (other than all the dead grass I saw, but it was August when I was there... and so hot and humid that I got a good idea of what hell will be like). I had a good time there while stopping in for work on the campus, but I was young and enjoying the... "scenery" on Campus, so my memories could be skewed.Originally posted by Moliere View PostNorman is a hole. Edmond is much, much better.
