We also used to have a weekly call on Monday Morning with Brandon Doman. The call was known as "Monday Morning Quarterback," in which Brandon would call, give us the state of the state, allow folks to ask questions about the prior game or the season, in general. It was very cool. Monday Morning QB wasn't organized by Sy, but it made me think of him.

The meeting I described with Tom Holmoe was at the Newport beach country club. There were maybe 20 people there? It was great.
Did Holmoe really say that his top priority was getting into the Pac 12? lol blind leading the blind. I wish I'd have been there. I could have saved him some time and effort (apparently he doesn't read here or on CB).

I think Jason Bateman is Kansas which is the only one of the more major athletic programs in the Big 12 that has acted sane this whole time.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

If BYU gets into the Big 12, it would be Buster.

Has anyone noticed Buster's fake hand on Linday's shoulder, supposedly Tobias's?

That makes Gob as Missouri make even more sense...I guess that would make Kansas State Maeby.

Edit: Not Maeby, I meant George Michael.

I think BYU is just the sane, well-meaning outsider - maybe Gob's girlfriend Martha.

Wrong. BYU is a hop on. Gotta watch out for those hop ons.

I'd like to think BYU has been sane through this process. They may have to answer to others (BOT) which makes them act a little irritated once in a while but that's what happens when your running a zoo..

You have your head up your ass. The PAC XX is not a country club affair where Stanford and Cal keep BYU out because of principle. The PAC XX is a business and will continue to only become more interested in money and power.

With the Big East imploding, the SEC going to 14, and eventually the big XII going back to 12, and possibly 14, we are a step away from the 16 team super conferences. It is going to happen.

Where does that leave the PAC XX? Who is left to grab? Certainly Wyoming would be a wonderful addition to the PAC XX.

BYU will be playing Utah in November and the PAC XX will be happy about it. BYU builds a rival with Notre Dame as well.

The sources have said repeatedly that BYU will eventually be in the PAC XX. You are narrow minded to think that the PAC XX would not accept BYU due to their peculiar ways. The sandlot doesn't have many teams left to choose from, all the good teams are gone.

This is triggering something for the recesses of my mind. Wasn't some movie or book, supposedly based upon DC/Viking's family (DDD, a little help here)? I'm hoping it is "Almost Famous". How cool would it be to find out Viking's source to all the juicy B12 comings and goings is Cameron Crowe!?!
