    • News not sounding great, but until I hear someone other than WV and Lville get some Big 12 run, I won't get too upset. Or that MO is staying. They still will need 12.

        • I suspect that Hee Haw replacing Lawrence Welk on byuTV is one Big XII negotiating must.

And I don't know what Deloss Dodds cultural impressions of Mormon Clogging are?

With the Big East imploding, the SEC going to 14, and eventually the big XII going back to 12, and possibly 14, we are a step away from the 16 team super conferences. It is going to happen.

Where does that leave the PAC XX? Who is left to grab? Certainly Wyoming would be a wonderful addition to the PAC XX.

BYU will be playing Utah in November and the PAC XX will be happy about it. BYU builds a rival with Notre Dame as well.

The sources have said repeatedly that BYU will eventually be in the PAC XX. You are narrow minded to think that the PAC XX would not accept BYU due to their peculiar ways. The sandlot doesn't have many teams left to choose from, all the good teams are gone.
lol what sources? Viking/Dr. Coug sources?

The Pac will keep BYU out for business as well as principled reasons.

I have increased my peace offering to Clueless.

Catblue, you really aren't in a position to know jack shit as it relates to BYU or the Pac12.

The good doc is correct. You, however, could hear it firsthand yet disbelieve.

Viking, brother....with all due respect (and you have earned your share).....your information to date has been so notoriously incorrect that it is very difficult for even the most Optimistic believer to digest these predictions of religious and moral football alliances.

If I'm not mistaken, wasn't your wife online here within the last week or so relaying glad tidings of future trips to Texas to watch BYU and Texas play as conference mates? Then a few days later, you say, "well, even if that dies, there is something even better in the pipe..."

I will be honest with you...I have zero reason to believe you (and that shouldnt matter to you one bit) but I am genuinely curious why you seem to have so much enthusiasm behind this latest scenario, the one that is arguably the most far fetched to date. Help everyone see what you see.

                  I really don't get that.

                  1. I was right about A&M sabre-rattling to leave from me before it was picked up in the mainstream media.
                  2. My guy was wrong that A&M was just playing "OU" and wasn't really going to leave.
                  3. I was correct about BYU getting serious with Beebe
                  4. You heard about OU and then Texas thinking of leaving for the Pac12 before it was anywhere, I bet.
                  5. This was correlated with a major mistake in info that the BYU to B12 announcement would be made the week of UT game
                  6. In the midst of all the Texas Tech to PAC12 stuff, I assured that was never going to happen
                  7. I broke to JL via PM that Texas was desisting from Pac12 a few days before it happened.
                  8. I came out of exile because I knew the talks with BYU and B12 were basically over at BYU's option. BYU would be in the B12 right now, but for that confusion.

I'm sorry, man, but as in all things fluid, there are going to be "errors" and bad info, but I've had news ahead of the actual events quite a bit.

I have no reason to give any further detail on what i posted previously, BUT I HAVE ZERO FEAR ABOUT BYU'S OUTCOME.

Considering how you were far and away the worst "woe is me"er on the board during most of the Big 12 deal, this is an interesting change in you.

I broke to JL via text and the other riffraff he travels with (excluding the youngest companion. I really, like him) the Salt Lick didn't have a wait

...Oh yeah, I was wrong too.

Well, either Big East football or the Big 12 is going to survive. As ridiculous as the Big 12 is, my money is on them right now.

Think of it this way, DDD. Vike isn't the type of guy who would blow sunshine up your ass for no good reason at all. He also doesn't strike me (having never met him) as a particularly gullible individual. Knowing this, if he isn't jumping off of a cliff, then there has to be some good reason for it. His info may be dead wrong, but at least you know that someone who (a) isn't gullible and (b) isn't a blowhard is optimistic.

Not much to hold on to, but when you're on the face of a cliff, a little toehold can make a big difference.

But they only want two teams from the Big12. So to get 16 they need two more western teams. Hello BYU and Boise!

Note: I don't believe BYU to the Pac12 for a second, but I do believe the Pac only wants UT and OU.
