I think the statement should involve a new list of priorities:Originally posted by SteelBlue View PostHe'll probably have to make some kind of a statement to assure the masses of angry, Sabbath observing fans that he is no sinner. Somewhere a short haired Riley Nelson is smiling.

Doesn't this article pretty much guarantee that Bronco and his guys will never be able to eat at that restaurant in peace again?Originally posted by YOhio View PostWhile BYU fans pore over every scrap of Big 12 information, with little to nothing coming out of any Utah media outlet, Dick Harmon throws out a D-News piece on Bronco Mendenhall's favorite Mexican restaurant.

Ha. I saw tricky Dick at Milagros a couple of weeks ago. The Friday before the Utah/BYU game actually. I kept seeing an older gentleman coming in and out of the back to talk with him and give him more food. I am assuming it was the owner. I didn't think Milagros was that good. I have only been once but I would hope that Bronco has better taste in Mexican food and wouldn't consider that place his favorite.Originally posted by YOhio View PostWhile BYU fans pore over every scrap of Big 12 information, with little to nothing coming out of any Utah media outlet, Dick Harmon throws out a D-News piece on Bronco Mendenhall's favorite Mexican restaurant.

No doubt, and that's a cool thing to do for a friend. I guess Harmon wouldn't have gone with the story without Bronco's permission.Originally posted by SteelBlue View PostI got the impression that's what Bronco was trying to accomplish for his friend.“There is a great deal of difference in believing something still, and believing it again.”

I think those assuming that attendance would drop after losses in the Big 12 could be underestimating this current generation of BYU fans. Bronco himself was surprised last year at the crowd that continued to show up for games even after starting the season 1-4. I agree that were they to continue going 6-6 each year as an independent or still in the MWC, that support would probably start to waver. But as a member of the Big 12 would a majority fans understand that any win against a conference foe would be huge, and continue to show support even after a few losses in a row? I guess there is no way of knowing for sure and the decision makers were not willing to take that risk. What I win, I keep. What you win, I keep.
