Pac 12+ Texas + Baylor + Tech + OU + ND = 17 teams.Originally posted by Uncle Ted View PostJesus at the Barking Carnival talks to "Big Cigar" about conference realignment...Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

Except the guy is talking about selling Baylor on the Big 12 short term and the Pac 16 long term.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostPac 12+ Texas + Baylor - Baylor + Tech + OU + ND = 16 teams.
I don't get why Texas would try to push aTm to the SEC. The whole thing is bullshit.Part of it is based on academic grounds. Agree. Baylor will join the PAC-16 when Ann Richards personally steps in in all her resurrected glory. I would think Baylor has a heavier millstone around it's neck then BYU in the eyes of Cal Berkeley and Stanford.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostPac 12+ Texas + Baylor - Baylor + Tech + OU + ND = 16 teams.
Correct. Perhaps more accurately, politics will prevent OU from abandoning Okie State. If it was just up to the Sooners, Okie State would be real, real gone.Originally posted by SoonerCoug View PostOU is not going to abandon Okie State.“Not the victory but the action. Apparently Chip Brown has been working on a big story and "fireworks are imminent". The speculation is that A&M is going to announce before Sept 1st they are leaving the Big 12 but Baylor is going to put up a legal stink as an attempt to force them to stay. Baylor has plans to expand their stadium but is unsure about its future in the Big 12 (not being in the Big 12 may nix those plans)."If there is one thing I am, it's always right." -Ted Nugent.

Interesting. Can you imagine if BYU (backed by a religious organization) had used it's political clout to stop Utah from moving to the PAC12.Originally posted by Uncle Ted View PostApparently Chip Brown has been working on a big story and "fireworks are imminent".
