Not a single time have I claimed to be an insider. Not once. I know a couple of folks who are. I have always stated this is secondhand, however.

I don't think my question was intended for you. It is obvious that you believe your "sources." I was just asking less biased board participants if perhaps I wasn't the only one who had noticed that your inside sources were rarely, if ever, right in their predictions and whether or not the poor track record caused them to skeptically view your/their predictions.

Good to know you approach these boards for entertainment purposes. I, of myself, am deeply serious in my approach.

BYU, and the Big 12. Two weeks ago as my wife was having our daughter, my 10 day prediction was looking pretty good. Several sources, both mine and those that others have, were stating that there were minor details to be worked out, but that it wouldn't be an issue, within the week, things would be done. Word of an offer came, although it was VIA a third party, not an official offer. Over that weekend, Mizzou again began to make noises about the SEC, and last Monday/Tuesday BYU pumped the breaks on the BYU to Big 12 bus, then opened the emergency exit door, and jumped.

What are the issues? BYUtv/ESPN versus Fox regional coverage, and no compromise on the delay for broadcasting. (Those that have known me for a while know that INDY is about one thing, exposure and the powers that be don't see the current Big 12 exposure as good as INDY exposure) Also, for BYU this isn't about $$ and some of you have seen my very good estimated $ BYU will make this year. When all is said and some, Big 12 RS isn't that much of an upgrade. ND and BYU are still in communication, and ND has made it known that they aren't going anywhere anytime soon. So BYU figures they will do the same. Although the WCC has come out and told BYU they understand if BYU does what they need to do, the Church still doesn't want the black mark of not honoring the commitment.

I feel like all the info I passed on was true and accurate at the time it happened. I wouldn't have passed it on if I didn't. As far as the Big 12 visitors at the USU game, that info took time to come out because I had to verify first reports.

Whether it is 2012, '13, or '14 BYU to the Big 12 will have to overcome issues, and some believe BYU burned some Big 12 bridges with their demands, and how the situation was treated.

People asked me if the leaky roof, the furnace, and the baby were metaphors, or excuses for my posting absence? Let me send you the bills, and then we will address it again.
