      At what point does the Big East lose it's AQ status? It's not like the these additions are suddenly going to start recruiting better. Dilution at its finest.

          So your position is that BYU recently rejected an offer to join the B12 and is now hoping and praying for an offer from the B12?

          Could the Big East save us? They are down to 6 football teams and apparently want AF. They could possibly save themselves by going to 12 teams and having an east/west split. Why not add AF, BYU, and Boise? If the B12 hadn't stolen TCU, you'd have had a nice West division. And the geography issue isn't as bad with a few Western neighbors.

          As for the guy from AF, isn't is something that he is living in reality? He wants to be able to play competitive sports, and he admits that AF simply can't do that in the B12. That's nice to see.

            i guess "rejected" needs to be qualified...the absence of acceptance takes the form of a de facto rejection ("if you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice").

            i don't know and honestly, I won't even try to find out anymore. It's just that stupid at this point.

              You're very perceptive and really interpret emoticons well. Do you think it is possible you might read a post or two without focusing on how you will respond to them? Maybe even read some of the older posts to determine how we all fit into the spectrum you are obviously newly moving along? Also, put your religious comments into the foyer.

                  One other knock against staying Indy is that Navy and Army are both joining the Big East and will have zero desire to schedule us like Holmoe and Bronco have been championing as potential late season games against our Indy brethren. Indy scheduling getting worse by the day with conference realignment and every conference moving towards 9 league games instead of 8.

                    He's claiming over on CB the Big 12 and BYU have reached agreement and it is awaiting approval by the BOT, but they haven't moved on it yet. I have no idea if there is any truth to this.

                              It's never going to be approved because apparently some members of the BOT are worried about their adopted little brother, Utah State, and other matters of the state of Utah.
