Out of line, man. I'm as frustrated as the next guy at what BYU appears to be doing, but this is not cool.

          It is.

We'll see what happens when everybody thinks they have to go to 14.

Lulz, so sorry for saying what no one else will. When you believe a group of men are above criticism you have turned your back on a critical founding principle of what makes this country great. I won't pull punches. The admins at BYU care about image not fans or LDS athletes.
Don't worry about people stealing your ideas. If your ideas are any good, you'll have to ram them down people's throats.

You are a jerk. Those idiotic ideals and religion are the same that most of us here follow. So thats a nice intro to the board. Welcome.

It was your choice of words, namely "idiodic religion" I to which I took exception, not your criticism of any authorities. You might notice that there are a lot of people around these parts that aren't afraid to criticize their leaders, but still hold their religion dear. If you don't see the difference and don't think it's common courtesty to avoid such phrases, that's fine. It doesn't hurt my feelings. I've now said my piece and we can leave it at that.

                • Meh, all religion is idiotic. When it fucks up kids and fans and people, it just proves itself so.

I'll go ahead and assume you haven't been atheist for very long. You'll learn before long that your current tactics are only effective in feeding your ego, and are actually counterproductive in getting anyone to agree with you. Mostly, you'll learn that you're not special for realizing some pretty obvious things, and stop having a lack of belief in gods be such an important part of your identity.

Don't get me wrong; it's fun to pester believers on occasion, but moderation is good.

This guy might be making the biggest splash ever on CUF! In 15 posts he's certainly made himself quite popular!

                        1) you obviously have no idea who most of the board members stand on the scale from total apostate to TBM, and exceptionally few members (none who post actively) would be called 'blind followers'.

                        2) this is the football section. Separate religion from football.

                        3) listen to Woot. He gave you sage advice that can only come from decades of introspection at a very high level as an atheist.

                        4) Introduce yourself at Ellis Island. Let us have an actual discussion with you to get to know you.

I'm not really interested in getting others to think my way. *shrug* I'm not going to be cowed into conformity either. The admins at BYU are so full of themselves and their manifest destiny that its disgusting for a BYU football fan, or should be.

Don't let the man get you down.

BTW, do you like to hang out on Wall Street?

It's hard to shrug and rage at the same time, isn't it? You're making a good effort, though.
