I think of this in the same light most Raiders fans probably feel. They hate the way the front office seems to screw the draft and other things every year. They don't love the front office though. They love the team. Raider nation will always be there... even if Al Davis never dies.Originally posted by USU Coug View PostI won't necessarily either. But I do expect a commitment to compete at the highest levels possible available to them. Only if this expectation was instilled by TM and Bronco themselves. If it comes out that BYU overplayed its hand or declined an offer for reasons other than core beliefs that can't be compromised, I'll have a major problem.
I'm separating the team from the admin. The future is not lost. It's time to recommit to BYU athletics. I was weak yesterday, but today I am strong!"To the man who only has a hammer, everything he encounters begins to look like a nail."

I thought Utah was not Scott's first choice? I doubt there's any proof that Utah was "on his white board" anyway.Originally posted by SeattleUte View PostWhy have people thought BYU was even in the discussion? Because people like Lou Holtz and Dennis Dodds have said so? With Utah you had the Pac 12 Commissioner from the start referring to Utah as being on his white board.
Not a troll; just asking.
BYU is widely considered a candidate since their administration has had numerous opportunities to say they are not, but they never have. You've got to be pretty oblivious to think that they haven't at least had initial talks with the Big 12. If you are claiming that Utah was an initial target by the PAC since they made sense, then that same logic has to be applied to BYU.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.
