"The first thing I learned upon becoming a head coach after fifteen years as an assistant was the enormous difference between making a suggestion and making a decision."
"They talk about the economy this year. Hey, my hairline is in recession, my waistline is in inflation. Altogether, I'm in a depression."
"I like to bike. I could beat Lance Armstrong, only because he couldn't pass me if he was behind me."
Even though he's a indy honk too, Wrubell clarified his tweet a least. And he didn't post it on CUF, you did. Without clarifying, BTW. And then you follow it up with your assumption that Cecil can only be more wary of the Big 12 after the last two weeks events, and seem to report this as fact when it is pure speculation on your part. So how is this Wrubell's fault again?
And while many ca be abrasive on CUF at times, myself probably include, I don't see anyone else PMSing about it like you are right now.
Oh, I would argue that there are definitely at least two people in this exchange PMSing
Your premise is sound myboynoah, but nobody ever said Wrubell's tweet meant BYU would never entertain the Big 12. Nor did I ever say that what he said in a meeting of professors meant that.
I do believe these things should be food for thought - for those capable of thinking and typing at the same time, anyway.
Emphasis mine. I want you to consider those words and why it may seem why people are ganging up on you.
Awesomeness now has a name. Let me introduce myself.
Actually the fault does lie with wrubell. But it is already well known that he is a huge Indy supporter and a byu mouthpiece. Everything he says in this is with the spin of remaining Indy. I admit I have strong hopes for the big 12 so I have my biases whaded by my desires It is clear to me that you and weubell have the same hopes. The only difference is that wrubell will sing a different tune when byu actually joins the big 12 and he he is told to fall in line. He will only say what his employer tells him to say. Even if it is intentionally deceitful.
I will insert here that if BYU chooses to join the Big 12 I won't have any problem with it. I do love independence and I think it's the way of the future for BYU and others. I base that opinion on a lot of things, but it's just that - an opinion.
It's not like I have hostility towards the idea of joining the Big 12. I just don't trust the conference, and I think a lot of fans on these message boards aren't thinking clearly when they blindly opine for it. Not naming names, but I'm sure you all know them when you see them.

Right, because you routinely see me getting into arguments, trolling various boards, and posting dated/misleading info.
Don't worry, you'll feel better in 2-3 days, and you'll be good for four more weeks.
"Sure, I fought. I had to fight all my life just to survive. They were all against me. Tried every dirty trick to cut me down, but I beat the bastards and left them in the ditch."

If Samuelson allegedly said something to a group of BYU marketing professors, that is good enough for me. I've moved on with my life and will not get my hopes up.

I'm not blind. My eyes are wide open about the Big 12 and I still want in. It is possible for people to understand the same set of facts and hold different opionions about the best course of action.
I take it you guys are not watching the OSU/AU game? Boone Pickens just said the BIG 12 is going nowhere... he said it will be equal revenue sharing with all teams having t-3 rights... said he doesn't think aggy is going anywhere.
That is about as plugged 'in' as it get's in Oklahoma football and BIG 12.
T. Boone Pickens in the booth right now at the OkSt/Arizona game. Says he's not sure that aTm is going to the SEC. Also says OkSt ain't gunna sue, which I'm sure the President loves.
Edit: Also says he thinks you'll know pretty quick. OkSt wants to stay in the B12, and is a package with OU.
But take whatever T. Boone says with grain of salt.
Double Edit: It did seem like T. Boone was skirting specific answers on the questions. I can't imagine that he doesn't know exactly what's going on.
Oklahoma State President Burns Hargis told CBSSports.com Thursday his school is focused on remaining in the Big 12. However, he would not speculate on the Cowboys’ future if Texas A&M leaves the league.
“I think [the Big 12] can exist,” Hargis said. “I don’t think it’s a feat accompli A&M is gone. Obviously the SEC had a string on their bid.”
Hargis said if Texas A&M leaves, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State are “not necessarily” headed to the Pac-12. “That’s a hypothetical, but we want 10 teams [in the Big 12].”
What could push the Sooners and Cowboys to the Pac-12?
“At this point, we’re focused on the Big 12 going forward,” Hargis said before Oklahoma State’s game with, ironically, Pac-12 member Arizona. “I wouldn’t want to get into [the possibility of the Pac-12]. That’s a hypothetical and a hypothetical. It’s just not anything we’re real focused on right now.”
An Oklahoma State source told CBSSports.com that OSU would not sue Texas A&M or the SEC if Texas A&M left.

I can expect you guys announcing in Austin?
Bronco is going to write the announcement on his chest and then rend his gray T shirt to reveal the news at midfield after our dominant win.

I can't help but think that the Big 12 would actually be better off without Texas A&M at this point. TAMU going back now would be similar to BYU going back to the MWC after trying to launch the independence project. How can the two side co-exist after all that has gone down?

I got the feeling during the interview that Pickens is a geezer who doesn't know what the hell is going on. "I read in the paper today..."
