I know that OU is calling it's shot—they can go where ever they want. They have finally served notice to Texas.

OU has 60 kids on it's roster from Texas. I'd wager the opportunity to play in and around Texas is a big deal. If OU goes PAC 12 without UT it will impact recruiting.

Its coveted network that's having trouble being distributed. It won't take long for its fans to revolt. We have some experience in this regard.

If the NFL Network had trouble getting onto cable systems due to trying to get a certain piece of the subscription fee pie, I have a feeling the Longhorn Network will run into the same problem.

Kids from Texas will continue to come to OU for the same reasons they always have: because Oklahoma's flagship university is a premier force in college football, and the state borders their own.

No, they are not aware of the reality that OU is the big prize in all of this and that OU will continue to get recruits from Texas regardless. It's not all that different than BYU and Utah ... BYU will still get the recruits it has always attracted despite the fact Utah is now in the PAC 12.

No. Oklahoma doesn't bring near the money or recruiting ground that Texas does. But it is a force to be reckoned with, and apparently the powers that be have decided to make that clear.

OU is the big prize principally because they are NOT Texas. And, yes, as I posted earlier OU can call it's shot (is a force) and it has finally given Texas notice.
