BYU is the most valuable option that is interested in being invited. Nobody else who will say yes brings value to the Big 12.

Saying that, I can't think sunday play or BYUTV are issues given that the Big 12 would not have pursued if sunday play was a showstopper and obviously Bevo got his own tv.

I think it is slowed down because somebody got the idea Notre Dame was interested. I also think the ESPN contract with BYU needs to be worked through. I honestly am not concerned that BYU would say no and I am highly doubtful BYU is particularly entrenched on anything other than Sunday play and rebroadcasting games on BYUTV, neither of which I think are big deals to the Big 12. Mostly, I think what we are reading are folks much like us, self inflated assholes who make shit up because they know others will read it and react. In essence they and we are trolls.

Hey, HL. Look at what you've done. You have the biggest knucklehead on the entire internet agreeing with you. Think about that for a while.

Good point. But if the invitation has been extended I would hope the only delay in responding in the affirmative would be if BYU felt the terms were very unfavorable, ie revenue sharing, BYUtv, Sunday play, etc

Do you disagree with my perspective though? Is BYU truly in a position to play hard to get? That is what Washington Coug is saying.
I think BYU is in a position to get a couple of expectations met. I think they are pretty much limited to the rebroadcast of games on BYUTV and Sunday play. I think that they are both pretty excited to make it work and I don't buy Katz's comments or anyone who thinks that the budding relationship is finding itself chilled. Logic dictates to me the Big-12 needs to expand and BYU is the one that brings the most value. The tweeting world has followers to attract. They need their own form of big ol man made boobs!

They have every right to ask for these. I think that the fact that the Mtn. wouldn't let BYU rebroadcast BYU's games was just stupid. As for Sunday play, they have to ask for the Sunday play issue. That is part of what they are and if the Big 12 really wants them, they have to be down with allowing team BYU to rest on the Sabbath.

This is what's called spin. BYU trying to control the story (to the extent there ever was one), to save face after yet another embarrassing snub from a big conference while Utah moves on to the most glamorous conference in America. Maybe if BYU stops being so freaky its day will come. It has a few things going for it.

Hopefully Katz is just seeing the issues at hand and is trying to put 2 and 2 together. Nothing concrete has been said to Katz that BYU won't join.

You know, you really are developing this into an art form. Even I don't agree with you here, but you're making me laugh by the sheer audacity of your...thinking.

This one would get a CUFfie if the selection panel weren't full of BYU fans.

                            Thanks. I agree.
One of the grandest benefits of the enlightenment was the realization that our moral sense must be based on the welfare of living individuals, not on their immortal souls. Honest and passionate folks can strongly disagree regarding spiritual matters, so it's imperative that we not allow such considerations to infringe on the real happiness of real people.

As a BYU fan even I see that as a pretty good analogy. I just hope the Big 12 is into BBW and likes huge boobs even if their hugeness is due to milkshakes at the BYU Creamery rather than scalpels in Beverly Hills.

What in the world is BBW, or do I not want to know?
