I love what the B12 is doing to secure future revenue/relevance outside of football.

SU’s predictable response is precisely why—from a fan’s perspective—Utah is persona non grata. 2 multiple-loss PAC-12 championship seasons doesn’t buy enough good will to want the baggage that comes with Utah. And I’m not sure the dollars and cents are there.

that said, I’d love to have Utah as a conference game. The only thing keeping them out is their own delusions.

Everyone here believing what they want to believe, as is the wont of people like you all. JL's dire predictions for Utah's chances at the Big 12 would be a little annoying if the crazy quilt Big 12 weren't such a dung hill booby prize. I can't think of a school in the Big 12 less Texas and Oklahoma that would be as attractive a candidate anywhere as Utah (except arguably Colorado and Kansas).

Also as is your wont, you're living in the past. There is no P5 anymore. There's a P2. There's no distinction to being in any non-P2 conference over any other. Who cares. Nor will the P2 remain as they are. There's a long game to be played here. Smart people are waiting to see what happens. Everything is fluid.

Good point. Why in the world are USC and UCLA joining a "conference" in which they have to cross 2+ time zones? Are they really that desperate to leave the PAC?

I hope the Pac 12-3or4 gets a good contract with Apple TV+... Then PAC fans can just buy a new iPhone and get three months of Apple TV+ streaming for "free"! Just think, you can have a new iPhone every three months and never miss an Utah game.

Does anyone happen to know when BYU's grant of rights to the Big 12 expires? Does it expire in 2031 when the new TV deal expires or is the GoR longer than the duration of the conference's current media contract? I've tried searching online but haven't been successful finding a conclusive answer.

Here is a plot twist. Some reliable sources now saying that remaining 4-corner schools have agreed to band together. I.e., all 3 or nothing. I am wondering if the only thing that would accomplish is to put pressure on UW/Oregon to jump first.
