Wonder what the future holds for the PAC-12 once USC and UCLA leave. The Big12 and PAC-12 might have little choice but to "thin the heard" and combine into a 16-team conference. It would be painful for schools like Oregon St., Washington St., Iowa St. and Kansas St. in addition to schools yet to join the Big12 like Cincinnati, CF, and Houston. In other words, take the best 8 teams from the PAC-12 and combine them with the best eight teams from the Big12. Such a conference still lacks the "name" schools of the Big10 and SEC but there might be enough revenue to split between those 16-teams to stay competitive.

I would be surprised if the Big10 expands any further. The conference has always proceeded 1-2 teams at a time when expanding. Adding USC and UCLA to their West division provides better balance with Purdue moving to the East division.

LOL. Nebraska foresaw the "train wreck" that was to become of the Big12 before anyone else. It is especially percipient as they did so before becoming irrelevant in college football.

Wonder how Colorado is feeling today? They left Oklahoma and Texas to join USC and UCLA.

ACC current grant of rights goes until 2036. Media rights are not my field so I don't know if it is really ironic clad but I do know that grant of rights is why ACC teams have been involved in zero talk of being poached since they lost Maryland.

USC and UCLA leaving the Pac 10 wrecks that conference. The Big 10 is going to grab Oregon, Washington and Stanford next. I'm not sure whether any other school can pull their own weight (Stanford is just for the academic prestige) according to the Big 10 now that they got the big fish LA schools. Maybe they go for Kansas for the basketball credibility.

The SEC is going to move on one of the Arizona schools and possibly Colorado.

I look forward to all of the Pac 5 University of Utah, billboards in Salt Lake.
