Buc-ees is one gas stop I don't mine spending a little time at. If they install chargers then I might actually consider getting an electric car, especially with the freak'n gas prices these days... and this:
DDD has a Tesla Plaid now. Hasn't given me a ride yet.

When we went to Waco for the Baylor game last year, part of our group insisted on making a trek to the nearest Buc-ees, which was like 45 minutes away. I passed on it, probably to have the opportunity to see the 37th Magnolia-related site of the trip (have I mentioned that we could see their house from our Airbnb?).
I still look forward to my first Buc-ees visit. I hope it doesn't underwhelm me as much as my first Wawa's visit.
We went to Wawa's the other day. Was it supposed to be impressive?

Going from coaching a 4A Idaho high school program to coaching a P5 college... Not bad.
BYU names Amber Whiting head women’s basketball coach
A new era has began for BYU women’s basketball.
Director of athletics Tom Holmoe announced on Wednesday that former Cougar Amber Whiting has been hired as the head women’s basketball coach, replacing long-time coach Jeff Judkins, who retired in April after 21 years at the helm.
It will be Whiting, who has never coached at the college level, leading BYU into the Big 12 in 2023-24.

Wawa's has a bit of a cult following up in the Northeast. I think it has something to do with their sandwiches?
Oh. I didn't think to try their sandwiches. We were looking for a specific item and they didn't carry it.

They love Wawa in the northeast, especially those Pennsylvanians. I only went once and bought gas, chicken fingers, and a root beer float. It was ok. I think it's kind of like am/pm. If you grew up with it nostalgia says it's awesome but if you didn't you are like what's the big deal?

Yes, the people I know who love it are all in the Philly/Wilmington DE area.
Everyone that visits us in Houston gets to visit a buc-ees and I’ve never had one person go away disappointed. The jerky. The fudge. The chopped brisket sandwiches. The beaver nuggets. And the bathrooms. Yes, the bathrooms. It’s an amazing place.
Dude, beaver nuggets just doesn't sound right, if you know what I mean. SJBH.

Her daughter will stay in Burley Sr year so far. Hard to leave friends last year of school. Particularly if that is were she started kindergarten. Wil Trent stay there or will she stay with friend? Eligibility won’t be issue since she started as Bobcat. Parents won’t be able to see as many games though.
Previous boys bobcat coach I think he moved while kids were still in school. Kids stayed back though. Jack Bagley I think left Burley for Arizona. That is when Elder Whiting took the reins. He didn’t stay though.
All 4 teams are officially joining the B12 next July 1. Oklahoma and Texas are saying the earliest they will try to leave is '24. So, we have 14 teams in '23. Will be interesting to see how the scheduling works.
Hopefully we hear about divisions/nondivisions/pods at the upcoming B12 media days as well as the new commissioner

Yeah, I'm looking forward to it. And Google tells me B12 media days are set for July 13-14.

it’ll be nice to be in a conference again, especially one that is half way decent.
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf
