I know, I have always thought that Iowa St. would be a better fit in the B1G than in the BIG12. The problem is with the current situation in college football Iowa St. doesn't add anything to the B1G in terms of market value. Thus, it would never happen.Originally posted by TheAzzuri View PostI totally agree. I don't see any Big10 team leaving for the Big12. I was just reporting rumor.

It doesnt make any sense. That would be like Arizona going to the Big 12.Originally posted by TheAzzuri View PostThrough Iowa's name into the mix as a possible expansion candidate (from a pretty good source). That actually makes some sense, but I don't see it happening."Be a philosopher. A man can compromise to gain a point. You know there is a lot of Big 12 love for BYU when even Baylor fans want us...

I like how their poll adds up to over 165%. This must be some kind of new math they teach down there."If there is one thing I am, it's always right." -Ted Nugent.

Well you can select multiple options so the poll is somewhat misleading. But yeah, BYU appears to be the clear favorite.Originally posted by Uncle Ted View PostYou know there is a lot of Big 12 love for BYU when even Baylor fans want us...

A fan of a team running the Wishbone complaining of the opposition not being called for holding? LOL.Originally posted by Babs View PostThat's 'cause the Huskers weren't getting called for holding.
An interesting fact of the "Game of the Century" - 11/25/71: #1 Nebraska 35 #2 Oklahoma 31 - was that there were no penalites called.
Besides, it was clipping that the refs missed on Johnny Rodgers punt return for a TD (not holding):

Yes, I'm aware of all this. My son was actually watching the latter #1-2 Big Red matchup just yesterday.Originally posted by Paperback Writer View PostA fan of a team running the Wishbone complaining of the opposition not being called for holding? LOL.

Because evidently Pickens has no love for Nebraska (or Missouri or Colorado either) because the Huskers have wanted to leave the conference since 1940 (before Okie St. joined). Perhaps he doesn't regularly do business in those states.Originally posted by Uncle Ted View PostSo Pickens who regularly does business with aggy alums doesn't want them to leave the Big 12. Why didn't Pickens give this opinion a year ago when the huskers were leaving the conference?
