        So the Texas governor essentially says that he will personally stop any expansion from happening, in a conference that includes members from 4 other states, if a school from his own home state isn't included? And it just so happens a campaign contributor is a Houston booster. And this is not attacked as an abuse of government power, coercive, and ethically inappropriate? How is this not getting pushback?

          It's the governor's job to fight for his state's best interests. Makes sense he would really want Houston in. But seems hard to believe UT and Tech would really want them in. Their endorsements of Houston are probably just posturing. Funny how the media are so definitively taking all those tweets.
