thank you, this supports my hypothesis that BYU won't move those programs to the b12.

Okay, you got me there. Still, I stand by my comments. Sunday play will be an issue.

I've already mentioned why in previous posts, but I'll say it again. If BYU were to somehow get a football only invite, it wouldn't be an issue. However, Sunday play in the women's sports I mentioned and in baseball are a problem for BYU because sports are played on Sundays. BYU is not a big enough name to dictate scheduling.

What reason is there that would I hope that?

For one, it's pretty standard for any NCAA discussion about sports other than football and men's basketball, to call the rest "olympic" sports. And secondly, yes, those sports are all played in the Olympics.

outside of the NCAA moving the day of the mens basketball championship game to a Monday and BYU dictating scheduling for an aggregate of maybe 25-30 teams in the WAC and the MWC (including Utah) for decades, you may have a point that BYU is in no position of power on this issue!

You keep repeating that as an article of faith while ignoring the reasoned explanations as to why it is highly unlikely that it would be any kind of deal killer. Whatever, I guess.

FYI, softball is not currently a capital-O Olympic sport.
