I would say the choices Dr. Chris Hill has made over the years have brought us to this point.

so BYUs choice of having a religious connection is why the PAc 10 didnt invite them? Back to bigotry.

BYU did not chose to have the Big 12 lite remain at 10.

BYU did not chose to have stanford and berkely not like religious connections.

What do you think byu should change that would make them be invited to PAC 10? Disconnect from church?

BYU should continue to stand for what it believes in but recognize those stances have consequences and be willing to accept those consequences. One of those consequences is not being invited to the PAC-12.

Wasn't USC a Methodist school? Maybe the Pac-10 is just scared of having religious schools beating the *sses all the time.

You really believe that? Urban Meyer is the ONE choice he made correctly. Shit, if I were a Ute fan I'd be putting together a thanks-for-getting-us-a-shot-at-the-bigtime gift basket. If not for Urban, Ron would still be the best Utah coach ever and a stretch of 60 years without an OCC would still be intact.

Are you saying that upping the ante for Whittingham was not a good choice? Dr. Hill also hired Majerus (granted, Giacoletti was his hire too and that almost completely canceled the Majerus hire.)

Now that would be a dumb thing to say but unless Whitt somehow became an offensive genius moving from DC to HC the change was due to Urban Meyer and the staff he brought. Bringing up Ute basketball at rock bottom is irrelevant BTW.

If you want to point to only one specific thing, then yes, the hiring of Meyer would be that. However, by winning the Sugar Bowl, KW is now Meyer's equal when it comes to Utah football.

As for basketball, as bad as it is for Utah now, it doesn't make his choice of hiring Majerus incorrect.

I just think it's a little silly to say that Hill has only made one correct choice.

Hey, now there's less pressure on Hill for Boylen's sake now that he's going to play in a currently worse basketball conference. That is if he's still the coach. Also a shame that your conference flagship football program successfully reduced the league to ZERO elite teams. Good for the Utes I guess.
