You ought to hear them make a pitch for money. They must be pulling someone's leg.

I will predict this. There is a 50/50 chance right now that in 5 years they could be hurting for money big time. The LDS church will have to kick in or there will be some cuts to the program made.

I know of at least 5 people who contribute at least $1,000 a year who have told me that if BYU end up with no prospects of BCS type recognition, they are done giving.

I will admit, 5 people donating a total of $5-10 grand is nothing, absolutely nothing. However, it is 5 of the 6 people I talked to about it. Maybe the really big buck guys don't feel the same.

Does the BOT really care about football or sports in general? The BOT can have their cake and eat it too. They can go and support Utah (where many graduated) and focus on religion at BYU. Win-win for many on the BOT.
