I disagree. If the college football landscape turns into the four 16 team super conferences that many are predicting BYU and and Utah will be on the outside looking in and it will really hurt both programs.

I agree. I doubt the decent teams in the super conferences are going to want to schedule BYU, Utah, TCU or BSU. Even if one or several of these teams are good enough to beat an Oklahoma, Alabama, Texas, no one is going to know. It will be even a stronger, who have you beat mantra.

Heck, we mock BSU's undefeated seasons. We are dreaming if we think the super conferences won't do the same.

Also, a lot of the financial support for BYU and I suspect Utah isn't out of love alone. It is in the hope of being part of something bigger.

You have your devotee's on CB that say they will be avid, loyal fans no matter what. USU has those folks too.

Unless somehow a KSU, Kansas, Missouri, BSU fall in with TCU, Utah, AFA and BYU, I think there are no more glory days for either Utah or BYU.

For some reason. That isn't making me feel any better today... Its sad because most OHIO State fans I know want a playoff that is inclusive. Not this super conference crap that is deliberately leaving teams out. We tend like Cinderalla stories and I think that is the same across this country,....

Well, the big time BSC team's bandwagon that I jumped on a few years ago just got the hammer brought down on them yesterday. I think it is time to relocate to a new state that has big time college football. Texas here I come.

How would four Super Conferences with all the auto-bids be any different than 6 regular conferences with all the auto-bids?

I actually think that if the MWC can merge with the B12 cast offs (perhaps excluding Iowa State) that BYU and Utah will be in a better position than they have since the formation of the Bowl Alliance in the mid-90s.

With four super conferences there will still be 10 BCS spots, perhaps 12 if the Cotton Bowl becomes BCS, each conference gets 2 bids that still leaves 2 at large bids. Or 6 with Cotton Bowl inclusion.

I think it will be about the same as it has been the last 6 years, except our conference will be better than before.
