Hi, my name is USS Utah (not SeattleUte). Who cares what SU thinks?

IIRC Clemson and Virginia were one and done for TCU as well.

I think that doing one and done against the right opponent is ok to do. You can't pack your schedule with them(ie Weber St. etc). But to give some depth and challenge. As a fan, I would much rather play one and done against Texas, ND, etc than play home and home with SJSU or Tulane.

        Ann Arbor. South Bend.

        Such fun locations.

Make up your mind. "Great football locations" or "great teams" or "fun locations"?

I would consider Austin a "Great football location".

So are Ann Arbor and South Bend.

The game in '02 at Michigan was a great experience for me as a fan despite the loss. It's the greatest college game atmosphere I've ever been a part of.

Exactly, schedules change and holes need to be filled. I would much rather have a one and done with Texas than a one and done with Northern Iowa (2008).

                    • Ladies and gents, if we're all going to meet up for this, I suggest we do it right. Those interested get tix together, those brave enough wear the vagina shirts, etc. TheBYUGuy and I probably live the closest, but I'll defer my knowledge of Austin to TBG and JeffL, as I've only been to Austin once. Still, with a few of us down here and/or knowledgable, we can probably find a great place for a pre/post game lunch/dinner, etc. We can also see if the Texas fans are as cool as the Sooner fans were (my guess: no, TBG and JL notwithstanding).

We have a couple of years to plan.

BTW, Austin is/has all three. Michigan and Indiana, not so much.

We'll need to compile lists of the designated drinkers and drivers so we have a plan to get everyone away from 6th Street safely. Also, I think JL mentioned Salt Lick earlier. Even though it's out of the way, it would be a great place for lunch/dinner, depending on game time.

Since I am full of hokey requests, I will also request that we have some sort of mechanical bull riding competition.

btw, it goes without saying that nobody is allowed to duck out on Friday night to attend the fireside.

As perhaps the only person on here as ever actually ridden a bull steer (cowboy?), I second this request.
