Still, with a few of us down here and/or knowledgable, we can probably find a great place for a pre/post game lunch/dinner, etc. We can also see if the Texas fans are as cool as the Sooner fans were (my guess: no, TBG and JL notwithstanding).

We have a couple of years to plan.
My next company conference will be in Austin. I'm willing to scout locations.

Excellent. Your expense report goes to the monkey, of course.

            • Personally, I'd rather the Utes had a SUG championship than great times in some fun college town with Cuffers. Sorry. Just being honest!

Well at least you know the joy of gathering with board friends at a great football venue. New Orleans must have been a lot of fun.

BTW, thinking about your mockery of BYU's currently scheduled one-and-done with the 'Horns (to which you're warmly invited--unlike the Utes, BYU has actually won a game in Austin), I vaguely recall that Utah had a one-and-done scheduled at Texas for the '08 season but the Utes cancelled the game because Urban Meyer thought the game would be too hard. Imagine if they'd stuck with their original commitment and won the game. Then the Utes would have been playing for a national championship, not second place. But those who are faint of heart never know, in the end, the triumph of highest achievement, and, at the worst, if they fail, at least fail while daring greatly, so that their place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who knew neither victory nor defeat, and are willing to settle for second place.

BTW, Texas and Notre Dame have visited SLC multiple times, each time on their way to Provo.

Kyle would have killed the 08 Horns. Killed them.

This is great news. Like all good Texans who attended BYU, I will be wearing the burnt orange and white but hoping that the margin of victory isn't too large.

Austin is one of my favorite places and should be a good time for all, regardless of the game's outcome.

I thought you were off spending more time picking your nose and watching Lost instead of coming here.

I honestly have no idea what Lost is about but I know it's on TV.

I have dry skin and I learned as a child that picking my nose led to far too many bloody noses. Ths board, my bad habit/guilty pleasure, is the equivalent of nose pickery for some. Can't seem to resist.
