Maybe it's just because I'm a BYU fan, but I've always felt like they cover BYU and Bronco lately with an heir of silliness, that they have a BYU person on the radio and then rag everything out that they said.

I've felt like Whitt has been given a pass for their shortcomings for several years.

KWhitt gets a pass from the locals because he beats BYU. That's it. The media hacks think the result of that one game is more important than the rest of the season.

Don't feel badly. This is a good change.

The current players are getting ripped off because the NCAA is basically giving away free passes to schools like Miami and restoring scholarships to Penn State, both of which were schools that were charged with actively covering up information. The NCAA logic behind the Penn State reversal is mind boggling. They said that they were restoring scholarships because PSU took corrective measures since the sanctions were handed down. wtf??? every single school that is hit with sanctions takes corrective measures afterward.

Right now the roster is thin, low 60s, and maybe high 50s with injuries. You cant practice the same way with that kind of roster. You have a lot more defensive players playing on special teams than usual, less rotation during games so players get worn out a bit more. This has been the toughest aspect of the sanctions. Fortunately, SC can sign around 20 kids this LOI Day, so they should start getting back on track soon, but it may not be until around 2017 that the depth issue is corrected.

I know, everyone is really sad about that!

Looking for a good Asian market near downtown. Making curry tonight for dinner but we are all out of rice. I usually buy my rice at that Asian market on State street in Orem but I wont have time to get all the way down there tonight. Need to find one in SLC. Anyone have any ideas?

There is an Asian market on 7200 S. just off State. Across the street from Les Schwab; next door to el Farol.

When I was a kid, Pat Haden was on the cover of Boy's Life. He was in a Ram's uniform and they talked about him being a left-handed QB. As a lefty myself, and as someone with no previous affiliations with an NFL team, the Rams became my favorite team.

When I was a kid, the LA Rams were my favorite team as well because of Merlin Olsen an Deacon Jones and my Dad's comments about his days at Utah St. with Merlin Olsen. I cheered for Pat Haden as well until the Rams drafted Vince Ferragamo from Nebraska whom I'd seen play in Lincoln. I grew tired of Haden's buddy TV announcers exclaiming how Haden was the Rams starting QB because he was so smart (Rhodes scholar) when Ferragamo was the better QB and was no dummy himself being an academic all-american (as well as all-american QB at Nebraska). To top it off, my tiresome older brother talked my Mom into giving me a Pat Haden poster for my B-day to hang on my wall with my Merlin Olsen and Deacon Jones posters knowing that I didn't like him but my Mom knew just enough about football to know that the Rams were my team and Haden was wearing the right uniform.

To somehow tie this back to Lane Kiffen and USC....
Monte Kiffin, Lane's father, was Nebraska's DC when Vince Ferragamo was QB. Lane Kiffen would have been conceived in Lincoln during the 1974 season but was born in Minneapolis during the off-season of the following year.

Went to a Japanese market called "Sage" on Main Street. Picked up a nice bag of tamanishiki and also decided to blow the doors off and bought two packs of haichu...peach and mango
