The next stop for Leach?

The story is that this was not really about James. The story goes that Leach was fired for a well-established pattern of willful insubordination and refusal to cooperate with administration. The James incident was apparently the most recent instance of this, and the proverbial final straw.Originally posted by John McClain View PostThe more I hear, the more I think TTU screwed this one up. There seems to be no question that Adam James is a whiner and liar.

Yup, James was just a pawn for Meyers and the TT admin to scuttle Leach.Originally posted by Babs View PostThe story is that this was not really about James. That's certainly what it looks like...that the administration has been waiting for an excuse for awhile. There's no doubt he's a loose cannon, though. It's hard to blame them for being nervous having him around.Originally posted by Surfah View PostYup, James was just a pawn for Meyers and the TT admin to scuttle Leach.

Really though? I don't think he overreacted at all. James is a little punk-assed bitch. He comes to practice and says he "has a concussion" and Coach says he has to walk the track for the duration of practice. Next day he tries to show-up Coach by breaking a team rule by strutting around the practice field in sunglasses - "because the doctor said I need to be out of the bright sun."Originally posted by John McClain View Post... no question that Leach overreacted in his discipline of James...
So Coach accommodated him. Punk-assed bitch gets to wait out practice in the equipment barn. And then the next day when he pulled the same crap, he got to hang out in the press room for the duration of practice.
I don't think he overreacted at all. He did what about 99% of coaches would do with a kid who tried to show him up. There was nothing outragsoue at all by his reaction. The James family on the other hand...
If I were ESPN, I'd seriously consider firing Craig James over this. He obviously abused his power getting involved in this to "protect" is idiot son...

I don't know if this is just a message board rumor but there are people saying that Adam James requested to be released so he could transfer to SMU and Leach and the coaches denied it. That adds some interesting spin to this thing if true. I wonder if the James' and Meyer colluded."Nobody listens to Turtle."-Turtlesigpic

LOL!Originally posted by SeattleUte View PostWhy don't you see what other players of Leach are saying about the firing...
Players are the perfect judge of EVERYTHING about a coach - especially selected players, hand-picked by the jackass on the team whose trying to cause problems. Just ask the Utes who played under UM. A whole bunch of them hated his guts. Doesn't mean he did anything wrong and doesn't mean he isn't one of the best coaches in college football.
