  • The next stop for Leach?

Colorado and ASU would have to be at the top of the list. I don't think he'll get a new job this year, but after next season he'll be a hot commodity. In the meantime, everyone will realize that TT fired him as a result of false allegations made by college football's version of Spencer Pratt.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

Haha, can you imagine Mendenhall and Leach working together? Too bad Collie, Hall and Leach couldn't all be on the team together. You could write a book with the quotes we would hear.

Actually, I could see him replacing Crowton as OC for LSU if Leach wanted a job immediately.

I know some LSU fans that would take him as a head coach over Les Miles right now.

WYO baby! We need a receivers coach. Welcome home Mike Leach, the first round's on me.

LOL. He's damaged goods, not a "hot commodity." Also, he wasn't THAT successful at Texas Tech. Maybe he can follow Mike Price at UTEP. Pigs will fly before programs the level of Colorado or ASU would look at him.

Leach is an arrogant pig who thought he could take on the university administration and win. That's why he got fired; he decided to make war against his employers starting before last year's Cotton Bowl debacle. He's like one of those stupid bugs that think they can stop your car on the highway.

So much vitriol directed at a fellow traveler. Curious.

You know we never seem to get those bugs on our cars here. In my experience it's a Wyoming thing more than anything. Like the smashed jackrabbits paving the highways. Maybe this is a subminal feeling I have about Wyoming.

What about the BROWN TROUT? (They're all dead, by the way. Killed 'em off with frac fluid.)

Are you saying that I won't be able to pull any brown out of the Utah side of Flaming Gorge?

                      If so, curses!

This is why I'm mad at Wyoming.

Also, somebody told me that even the jackrabitts are notably thinned.

UCLA hired "damaged goods" coach Rick Neuheisel. Do you honestly think a team like ASU wouldn't look at Leach? The situation with James will not, in the end, make him damaged goods. His tendency to be a total pain in the ass to the administration could make him damaged good. Then again, the AD at TT also sounds like an idiot.

TT was a game away from playing in the Big 12 title game and the national championship last year. That's why the likes of Washington were trying to hire him away. Leach won't be a hot commodity at the top tier programs, but will be looked at by programs a step below- like ASU.

Leach can't be any worse than Frank Kush.

Yes, because CU and ASU are much better programs than TT...or not.
