BYU logic: 2009 TCU was better than 2008 Alabama because Alabama was 12-1 in the SUG whereas TCU was 12-0 in the Fiesta. Only you all believe that. By that logic TCU is better than any Urban Meyer Florida team.

But they were 12-0. They didn't finish 12-0, and that wasn't their record when they played Utah, but they were, in fact, 12-0.

I'm putting no qualitative judgments on this fact, and I have no idea what you or SU are arguing, but their record at one point in time was 12-0.

They were, weren't they? They achieved a record of 1-0 by beating Clemson.

Again, I don't know what point SU is trying to prove by saying Alabama was 12-0 in 2008, but that was their record between a win against Auburn and a loss to Florida.

Despite the fact that the game was close and BSU only scored one offensive touchdown, I was really surprised tha Patterson was outcoached down the stretch, paricularly in his defensive coverage calls. How can you play such soft coverage when you know that the only successful throws Moore had made all night were 5-8 yard dink and dunk type plays? Big big big coaching mistake there.

It'll be interesting to see these two teams moving forward. Boise looks like they return all but one starter on D and all of them on offense, which is nuts. TCU brings back a solid team next year as well minus Hughes and Washington. We could potentially see both these teams back in the Fiesta bowl next year...although I hope not, I hope other MWC coaches will use this game tape in preparation for the Frogs next year.

The no. 2 team will be Florida, Alabama or Texas. Not Boise. Boise won't be no. 2 on the strength of a win over the paper frogs. lol Will the frogs finish top 5 like the TIDE did last year?

Except that the TIDE didn't finish in the TOP 5. They *did* finish in the top 10, however.

I do think that TCU should finish in the top 10. BYU might, as well. I'm not sure where the superiorly coached team with the super-fast athletes will end up.

TCU ran the ball 7 times in the 3rd quarter for 11 yards. They had no rushing attempts in the 4th quarter. (they had 36 rushing yards on the game)

For a team that averaged 236 rush yards/game during the regular season, it's hard to find success when Boise was so stout up front.
