Perhaps someone could clarify what they mean by a "Prop 48" kid. As far as I can tell, Prop 48 requires that you have a minimum 2.0 high school GPA and meet certain scores on standardized tests to be eligible for scholarships on NCAA sanctioned teams. Is there some sort of exception contained in Prop 48 that allows kids with lower scores in? If so, how do they qualify? Is there a cap on amount of these exceptions to Prop 48. If not, as far as I can tell, every NCAA athlete is a Prop 48 kid, in that he meets those requirements.
A Prop 48 student didn't meet testing requirements. (Min SAT or ACT scores for NCAA eligibility)

A student was allowed to enroll, but not participate in sports his/her Freshman year. (Basically a forced Redshirt) They went to classes and were on Scholarship. They are allowed to continue to take SAT/ACT during that year to achieve a passing score. They could then play their Sophomore year.

But it would appear that the WAC made some changes in 2003/04 this disallowed them. I can't find anything concrete though. If that was the case...it explains why Fresno St. Basketball dropped down the toilet.

Tick, I feel like I'm picking on you over the last day or so, but this simply isn't true. In 2008, TCU finished 11th in the final BCS rankings with 2 losses. Boise finished undefeated at 9th. If TCU beats Utah, they get the auto-bid OVER Boise, nevermind if TCU beats them as a MWC school.

          I didn't say anything about a 2 loss team.

Don't make me use your own logic against you.

If a two-loss MWC team is in the top 12, qualifying them for the non-BCS automatic bid, isn't it safe to assume a one-loss MWC team would be there as well?

Not sure...I am using your circular logic about Alabama being 12-0 in 2008. Even though they weren't undefeated in 2008.

              So...there.
