there was some good ribbing as he was walking down the isle but I don't think he was "assaulted". More on the lines of "Why are you leaving? You should see us hold up the trophy!" "Another Ass kicking" "have fun on your ride provo" stuff like that. When he got down to the bottom before he entered the portal he raised up his hands (kind of like pro wrestling evil character) and people were razzing him. I am pretty sure he never felt like he was in danger."Be a philosopher. A man can compromise to gain a point. At the game I agree. But walking to the stadium was a different story. Not to mention he is about 115 pounds soaking wet poor kid.Originally posted by Mormon Red Death View Postthere was some good ribbing as he was walking down the isle but I don't think he was "assaulted". Come to think of it, I have had more altercations with BYU fans than fans at other schools. Primarily the down in front crowd. Had a guy behind us actually shove my 17 year old son down in his seat. I promptly let him know if he touches my kid again my kid has permission to kick the shit out of him.Originally posted by Art Vandelay View PostQuestion for Utah fans. Have you ever heard a group or individual yelling, chanting, or drunkenly slurring anti-mormon or otherwise offensive things towards seemingly innocent opposing fans. If so have you ever said anything to the offending party?
The only times I have ever had verbal sparring and nearly physical altercations is with fellow BYU fans I felt were acting like idiots. 1 occurance was at the most recent Notre Dame game, where a BYU fan screamed at the ref, "you are raping us just like Catholic priests do to little boys." My older brother went ape <redacted> on the guy, but he didn't spout off for the rest of the game.
Fans yelling relentlessly at players and coaches also gets old.

they definitely gave him/us a razzing on the walk down to the stadium.Originally posted by Mormon Red Death View Postthere was some good ribbing as he was walking down the isle but I don't think he was "assaulted". By razzing I mean they emphatically asked us as members of the LDS church to self-copulate.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

Well Utah has it fair share of idiots who use the rivalry to bag on the church. At the game last year I didnt see any of it. Even the guys two rows behind our seats who constantly use the f word during games were rather tame.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View Postthey definitely gave him/us a razzing on the walk down to the stadium.

They had every reason to be, I would have had the biggest smile in my life last year if I was a Ute fan.Originally posted by Mormon Red Death View PostWell Utah has it fair share of idiots who use the rivalry to bag on the church. Maybe I should go Utah Dan on BYU and switch.

You forgot to mention the unicorn. If you keep looking at my post you will probably see it!Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostYou tacitly endorsed the poor treatment of campus visitors. I am simply saying that such an attitude is basically the root of the problem. . . . You find it funny that visitors to another campus would expect decent treatment.
