Wow. This game is falling apart quickly for the cards.

I feel deeply sorrowful for them.

Knock it off. This board has enough problems without a dose of middle-age lechery.

Aaand as a nice bookend to this game, the Nats fall apart as quickly as the Cards did in the 1st

Wow. Great comeback! I am obviously pretty pumped, but I kind if feel bad for the Nats fans too. Brutal way to end a great season.

I'm glad the Cards are playing the Giants. The Giants may be great(we'll see), but I'd rather face them than the Reds.

Agreed. I'd also rather see the Giants win the NL (if we can't).

What a comeback, what a team.

Nice. Bullpen shuts the door, and the offense does just enough.

Shitty way for Lohse's time in St Louis to end. He had a great season.

Have fun in Cleveland or Miami or whatever.

You have to go back to 1989 for the Cubs to match the number of postseason wins the Cardinals have in the last month.

But hey, it's great to see you and pellegrino celebrating something baseball-related in October.

Im mad at the cards for choking agains the Giants. Had they choked against any other team, who cares?

                            3-1 lead. Sheesh. Wtf?

I respect a general hatred of a rival, but in the abstract, this Gigantes team is pretty likable, a bunch of lovable eccentrics, overachievers and redemption stories. I went 57 years without a World Series win (the '62 Series broke my ten-year old heart, and I hated it when the Bums swept the same Yankees a year later), and am now looking at the possibility of two in three years.

The Giant lineup is not very impressive. Their pitching is great but other than Posey they don't have a top three player at any one position in the NL.
