As a Giants fan, I am shocked and saddened by this. Why is he driving a 3 year old car?! Come on Freak, you can do better!

A friend of mine went to a convention in Denver a few weeks ago and he actually met Tim Lincecum and some of his buddies. Lincy flies all of his best friends out to every game. His 2 friends work for Target and just mooch off of Lincy. So my buddy went out to the bar with him and his friends one night and Lincy picked up the tab for everybody. Then they went to Lincys suite and he said not 5 minutes after they were there they busted out the weed.

Lincecum is a total pot head. Which is not very surprising since he is from the PNW and has hippie written all over his face. In fact I bet Zito smokes it with him.

Giants trying to sign a murderer. Doesn't surprise me one bit. After all, their ace is a drug addict!

As a tall person, does "The Giants" offend you?

Don't get me wrong, I love Pablo. The kid can rake and anyone with the potential to be a thorn in the side of the Dodgers for years makes me smile.

The best part about that is the fact that he did that numerous times this year. The guy would round the bases with some serious lean. Almost fell over everytime.

                    • Saw the dodgers thread so I had to bump this. DeRosa got his first hit as a Giant today, may there be many more. Here's the lineup I'm hoping for:

CF Velez (I know it'll be Rowand, but I like the Pharoah)
2B Sanchez (until he's hurt in game 3)
                      1B Huff
                      3B Sandoval
                      LF DeRosa
                      SS Uribe
                      C Molina
                      RF Schierholtz
                      P Lincecum

Giants are now 7-1 in the preseason.

I think the staff ends up looking like this:
                        SP's
                        Lincecum
                        Cain
                        Zito
                        Sanchez
                        Bumgarner/Wellemeyer

                        Long relief
                        Joe Martinez
Kevin Pucetas (guy has had a stellar minor league career as a starter)

                        middle relief
                        Brandon Medders
                        Alex Hinshaw
                        Sergio Romo

                        Situational
                        Dan Runzler
                        Jeremy Affeldt

                        Closer
                        Brian Wilson

                        For the bats:

                        Catcher: Molina
Posey (I think when they break camp he gets sent down to AAA and will be called back up in May).

                        1st: Huff, Ishikawa
                        2nd: Sanchez, Velez
3rd: Pablo, DeRosa (DeRosa will play all over the field)
SS: Renteria, Crawford (Can Crawford make the team? He has loads of talent)

Utility: Uribe and Burriss (Burriss may start the year in AAA as well)

                        OF: DeRosa, Rowand, Schierholtz

                        Backup OFs: Velez, Lewis, Torres

I really like this team, lots of speed and great pitching but not a ton of power. However Brandon Crawford, Buster Posey and John Bowker all hit for power in the minors so hopefully they can add some pop to the lineup.

I guess Bowker gets the starting role, but I really like Schierholtz (went to HS with my fiancee), so hopefully they can both play at times. I am a fan of anyone who doesn't wear batting gloves and can hit inside the park homeruns.

I think Bowker's OPS was over 1 in preseason...I have high expectations for this team.

Bowker mashed the ball in the minors. He lead the minor leagues in homers twice. Every time he gets called up the power is there (10 homers in 200 at bats in 2008, and 9 homers in the first half of 2007 in limited action). But he struggles with his average. Hopefully this is the year, either way its an upgrade over Randy Winn. Schierholtz is a stud no batting gloves and a cannon for an arm, I love that guy.

I heard reports he'd lost velocity on his fastball. But his effectiveness really comes from the difference between it and his off-speed pitches - which he has complete command over.

Lincecum looked awesome tonight. He got out of a few jams. If the Giants can get that kind of production from Huff and DeRosa they are going to have a nice season.
