I loved McGee's dunk attempt in the first quarter. A thing of beauty.

bump. turns out i wasn't as wrong as it appeared three weeks ago. Ws apparently just had to adjust to life without KD and now they are playing like i thought they would initially. they will win the 1 seed by a comfortable margin - perhaps by as much or more than they were leading when Durant went down with his injury.Originally posted by smokymountainrain View Postbump. I suck at this game.I'm like LeBron James.

In the last 8 games of the season, Russell Westbrook needs 51 assists and 39 rebounds to average a triple double for the season. Crazy talk... averaging a triple double for the season, leading the league in scoring and he still may not win the MVP award.

That is crazy. I didnt think he would make it. I would prefer that he win it over Harden.Originally posted by Sizzle View PostIn the last 8 games of the season, Russell Westbrook needs 51 assists and 39 rebounds to average a triple double for the season. I agree. Harden flops and gets the calls for some reason. ANd he rarely puts real effort into defense or, at the least, takes plays off. Drives me nuts. I think Westbrook is a little crazy but he plays hard at both ends and between the two deserves the MVP much more.Originally posted by Flystripper View PostHarden is a flopping POS. I hate his game. Rockets are going to win the 3 seed in the West, most likely win 55-56 games which is +15 from last year. On top of that Harden is at 29.3 (2) 11.3 (1) and 8 boards per game.
If you prefer advanced metrics, his win shares of 14.4 lead the league, his VORP is 8.4 (2nd, behind Russy who is at an amazing 11.1). His PER is 27.7 (2nd), and his true shooting percentage is .618 (11th) and tied with Steph Curry. Truly one of the best offensive seasons in NBA history.
Not to discredit Westbrook but winning the 3 in the West and the leagues 3rd best record gives Harden the edge. I think you can also argue Harden has a worse supporting cast than Westbrook. It is close.*Banned*

Defensive win shares Westbrook is at 4.0, Harden 3.6. Not a huge difference. Also defensive rating, Westbrook 104.5 (14th in the league), Harden 106 (35th) again fairly close. I think Harden is an disinterested defender, doesn't mean he can't defend. And when he takes defensive plays off, he really takes them off.Originally posted by creekster View PostI agree. Kawhi has not had a good March. He is not closing strong.Originally posted by Pelado View PostWhat happened to your support for Kawhi winning MVP this year?
Since the All-star break he is only shooting 29% from three and with the SPurs not winning the 1 seed, I think that eliminates him. Granted he is going to put up 26, 6 and 4 with a PER of 28. Which is a MVP season any other year, and if you compare his defensive rating which is top 5 in the NBA and the only guard in the top 10, he is amazing. I just think the video game numbers the other two are putting up will knock Kawhi out.*Banned*
