In fairness to FS, I assume when he posted that, he was thinking Kobe would play most of the season.I'm like LeBron James.

yes I did. I also didn't think Nick Young, Xavier Henry, or Jordan Farmar would be injured for most of the season. I was not stupid enough to think that the Lakers roster was equal to the clippers. That first game was fun though. The rest of the season not so much. I couldn't even get excited when they beat Portland or OKC during the last couple of weeks because I am now want them to lose for a better chance in the lottery.Originally posted by smokymountainrain View PostIn fairness to FS, I assume when he posted that, he was thinking Kobe would play most of the season.Dyslexics are teople poo...

I know all that, you yahoo! Just funny is all. I haven't had anything to cheer about in the NBA since the statues were in uniform.Originally posted by Flystripper View Postyes I did. A local radio station asked Jazz fans to text in their recommendations for player injuries this morning following that announcement. Most picked Gordon Hayward and most were just as stupid."Either evolution or intelligent design can account for the athlete, but neither can account for the sports fan." - Robert Brault

I prefer they are competitive, but lose as many games as possible to finish the season. They really need to get as high of a lottery pick as possible.Originally posted by wapiti View PostNice game by the Lakers last night. Hopefully they have figured a few things out and will finish the season on a high note.

I have turned my attention to hoping that the Lakers high first round pick this summer will hearken back to the days of landing the next Magic, James Worthy, or Byron Scott. It is probably safe to abandon those notions, as wellOriginally posted by Hypoplastic View PostI prefer they are competitive, but lose as many games as possible to finish the season. I think it will be a successful offseason if Jim and Jeanie can figure out their shit and actually communicate some semblance of a vision for this team post Kobe. The Lakers have been a wreck since the Dr. passed, and it all starts at the top.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View Postat this point, I think that it is safe to abandon any notions of the Lakers being "competitive" or finishing the season on a "high note."
