I am actually a bit puzzled. If it were a contest strictly for jumping, then I could see all the buzz. But does he really do creative dunks? Most of his in-game dunks are fun because he jumps so high, not necessarily because he does much with the ball. I guess we will see tonight.

I wonder if Lebron's people started complaining that he needed his own commercial? Basically all these spots have been focusing on Kobe (besides the initial one with all the chalk dusting). Now is a good time to do a LBJ spot because the Cavs have the best record in the league.

Gidget's favorite commercial is the Kobe puppet rapping with the two foot locker guys. She thinks it's funny when they show their feet dancing.

Anyway, this commercial won't last long as Z will probably get waived next week if the Cavs make this trade for Amare happen.

This one has been floating around for a little while. Although I would miss Ammo's mustache, I would love to see Heinrich play in LA. Not only can he knock down the 3 ball, he's a very good defender at the 1. That deal looks like a win-win-win--the best kind of win for all parties. I read somewhere a while ago, however; that his contract is fairly unattractive. Does anybody know how many years/$ Heinrich has left? I do use google, but I'm feeling uninspired right now. TIA.

Looks like Sasha's suckiness and suckier contract killed the 3 way deal.

Did the Lakers offer guard Sasha Vujacic to Portland? According to Yahoo! Sports, the Blazers were saying over the weekend that they had a chance to land Vujacic.

One eastern executive was wondering if this could be part of a three-team trade with Lakers, Blazers and Bulls, which would send Tyrus Thomas and Vujacic to the Northwest, Kirk Hinrich to the Lakers and Adam Morrison and players from Portland to the Bulls.

"What has, or will kill this," one GM told the website, "is that Portland just won't take Vujacic on."

Sasha doesnt make much sense at any price. He is a streaky outside shooter that is off more than he is on, he doesn't defend well, and he is mentally weak, committing frustration fouls at inopportune moments., That he is not starter material might not necessarily be his undoing, except when you realize that since he needs to have a lot of PT to get into any sort of rhythm, he is a lousy guy to have coming off your bench. Can't start him, can't bring him off the bench. Not a huge market for that kind of guy in the NBA.

The Lakers will likely trade Sasha in his final year and then whichever team gets him will let him walk at the end of the deal. He will sign another contract with some horrible team like the Raptors, the Nets or the Bucks and then we will turn on the TV in 9 or so years and see him sitting on the end of some NBA bench, amazed that he is still in the league. Kind of like a Popeye Jones or Chuck Person kind of player....you assumed he retired several years ago but he is still hanging around cashing checks.
