I think it's a great idea, but I'd make the following changes to match:Originally posted by HuskyFreeNorthwest View PostAdam Silver wanting to shake things up, http://www.businessinsider.com/nba-c...rnament-2014-7
1) Shorten the regular season by about 20 games and give them a real break after the mid-season playoffs. One full week with no player obligations.
2) Shorten the end-or year playoffs by several weeks (cut down first round to best-of-5).

Arron Afflalo on the Nuggets being a championship team.
One thing for sure, they certainly don't have the right coaching for a championship team. Maybe the Lakers will try to hire Brian Shaw after they fire their new coach after one season and Denver can get the right coaching.I'm happy to be back in Denver, I got some very familiar teammates. I believe this is a championship team under the right mindset and coaching. As I lead this army, make room for mistakes and depression

NBA teams that have won a championship get a gold patch on their jersey!
http://msn.foxsports.com/nba/story/n...-others-071714
A special gold patch showcasing the Larry O'Brien championship trophy will be added to the jerseys of every team that has won a league title. The patch will be in the middle of the collar on the back of the jersey, per SI.com's Ben Golliver.
For teams with multiple championships, the patch also will feature a number. The Boston Celtics jerseys will have "17x" next to the gold trophy to mark the franchise's league-record 17 titles.
The Phoenix Suns, Atlanta Hawks, Denver Nuggets, Utah Jazz, Indiana Pacers, Cleveland Cavaliers, Orlando Magic, Charlotte Hornets, New Orleans Pelicans, Sacramento Kings, Toronto Raptors, Memphis Grizzlies and Oklahoma City Thunder will not have gold patches on their jerseys.
Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

Smart move if they want to win a championship while they still have LeBron. Potential long-term downside, but Wiggins is unlikely to ever be as good as Kevin Love is. So it is a no-brainer. And I'd take Wiggins over the Warriors offer of Lee and Thompson. Especially if the Wolves can get another asset from Cleveland.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostCavs are now saying they would part with Wiggins for Love.

I don't see how anyone could top that offer. At least nobody willing to get in on the bidding. Problem for the Timberwolves is it puts them back several years and they are now in rebuilding mode again. Sucks for them.Originally posted by smokymountainrain View PostIn the article I posted, I think they said Wiggins, Bennett and a future 1st.
