Doesn't need anymore money... and being in Detroit he isn't going to win a Super Bowl anytime soon.
Right and hasn't he said publicly he has no interest in destroying his body just so he can play a few more years? I can't say I blame him. With all the question marks about concussions and the general physical state of ex-NFL guys who played into their mid to late 30s, it makes sense to quit and live life.

No offense but that city has caused more than one all-timer to retire early.

Sure that's all a part of the calculation, right? If he had a shot at a championship maybe he would stick around a couple years and take on the increasing risk to his long term health. But being that's not likely, he'll probably hang it up like Barry and hopefully be able to walk when he's 50 and avoid brain damage.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him join the a team like the Patriots around week 10 or so. Stay in shape and then come back with enough time to get up to speed on the offense and make a Super Bowl run.

He's youngish still, but he has had injury issues the last two years that coincide with a decrease in production.

The Lions did what they needed to in the fourth quarter and came away with division lead. Happy Thanksgiving!

Division champions! Maybe it won’t take another 29 years to do it again.

The Lions have more playoff wins in the last eight days than they have had in the rest of my life to date. It’s been really enjoyable.

The Aiden Hutchinson injury was nasty, and he will be out the rest of the season. He was on a DPOY type of pace through the first five games, too.

Fifteen wins. Number one seed for the first time. All that with half of the defense in the hospital ward. What a great game and regular season for the Lions.

They've been fun to watch this year.

I saw something on IG about Dan Carpenter going 0-16 as a Lions player and then coming back to win 15 games as a coach. Really cool to see the Lions do well, finally.

I wonder what would have happened if the Jets had taken Sewell at #2 and Wilson had dropped to #3 to the 49ers. Sewell is one of the best lineman in the NFL and has really helped this Lion's team.
