Nice bootleg by Luck to likely seal a road win against the Niners.

The season has barely started, but it feels like the Steelers' is on the line right now.

So does Ginger Dalton really get credit for a game-winning drive while standing on the sidelines watching his D score the game winning TD? Or is ESPN smoking crack?

                The two aren't mutually exclusive.

It's nice to see him do well. After trading away Richardson and starting Hoyer I didn't think the Browns had any chance at all this weekend.

neither did I. That is why I picked Minny over the Browns in the survival pool.

I thought Minny would win for sure. I was really surprised to see the Browns pull that out.

I get that Dalton put a 4th-quarter scoring drive together. But that wasn't the game-winning drive, as it didn't even put them in the lead. So I guess my question is, what definition of "game-winning drive" is ESPN using? Unless that was a typo, I think ESPN's definition and my definition are significantly different.

Lombardi mentioned to Bill Simmons last year that if he were a GM he would go after Brian Hoyer. After trading Richardson away, someone mocked him about saying that to Simmons and then actually doing it when he was hired as GM of the Browns.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

Peyton Manning is an absolute wizard. Everyone already knows this but I almost never watch NFL games and it's been awhile since I've seen him in action. What an unlikely combination of mental and physical prowess. I bet he'd be a great offensive coordinator right now if he didn't already have a better job.

I got home with about 2 minutes remaining in the 3rd quarter of this game. Pryor has been lights out - a black, mobile, Peyton Manning. Unreal. Obviously he hasn't played like this all game, but at least for a couple drives he's been close to perfect. Well until Woodyard nearly killed him on a designed QB draw and caused a fumble.

It's crazy that Chuck Woodson is out there at 37 years old playing FS and leading his team in tackles.
