Knock it off. This board has enough problems without a dose of middle-age lechery.

Leinart's already been cut in part because of a BYU QB. If Beck gets this spot, Matt might get a complex.

Allegedly the Jets are also planning on working out Beck. Looks like John may be backing into a job by default!

            • This might be Beck's last chance.

Too bad it's with the Jets. Dude has never had an ideal QB situation.

For a chance at PT, if you're third string, there may not be a better place.

                  Uona Kaveinga
                  RM Mark Asper
                  Stevenson Sylvester

That means at least for now Kehl, So'oto, Matt Reynolds, Dallas Reynolds, Romney Fuga, Hebron Fangupo and Austin Collie are still alive.

I don't think things look good for Collie. The 49ers likely won't keep more than 5 WRs, especially since Crabtree and Manningham will likely both be back by the end of the year. Boldin, Moore and Patton are all locks. They just traded for Jon Baldwin, so unless he is horrible, he is likely to make it. Kyle Williams also has the advantage for the 5th slot because of his experience with the team and his versatility as a return guy. What will really work against Collie is his lack of experience in the NFL on special teams (like Hawkins tonight with the TD return). I think as a WR, he's proven more than anyone healthy other than Boldin on their roster, but I don't think he gets the nod. Which is too bad. I really want to see him get a shot, and I had hoped itd be in SF. But the odds don't look good.

                        • I am pretty surprised the Patriots weren't interested in him.

                            • Some sources reporting John Beck won't be worked out by the Jets after all. Bummer.
