The guy that would be perfect with LeBron is Kawhi who is turning into an elite second banana and he can play the 2.
They can't move that guy. He is the Heat personified. He's won three titles there.

    • For better or worse, Wade won't leave the Heat until he chooses.

      • This is a great quote to summarize how awesome it was to see these two particular teams compete against one another:

"I have so much respect for them," Dwyane Wade said last night when he was asked about the Spurs. "We went through that whole series and a couple of those guys, I ain't heard their voices yet. They don't say nothing to ya, they just kick your butt. No trash-talking. Kawhi Leonard, I don't even know how he sounds. But he's a bad boy."

Kawhi Leonard was unreal. That was a coming out party for him. The Spurs are a perfect fit for him.

          • Interesting article about LeBron compared to MJ as a gracious and humble winner. Guys like Funk (and he is most certainly not alone) have their reasons for disliking him, but fortunately there is another side of the story.

            http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nba--ba...080537235.html

Through the bodies flooding the floor and the confetti falling out of the rafters, James found Tim Duncan on the floor, wrapped two arms around him and squeezed him tightly. Six years ago, James had been obliterated and Duncan had thanked him for letting the Spurs win one more title before James completely controlled the sport. Six years later, it belonged to James, and soon they handed him the Finals MVP trophy on the podium for the second consecutive season – after a colossal 37 points and 12 rebounds in a 95-88 Game 7 victory for the Miami Heat on Thursday night – and the first words tumbling out of James' mouth were about the Spurs.

"They pushed us to the limit," James said. This time LeBron James was on the better end of a post-Finals hug with Tim Duncan. (USA Today Sports)

They pushed the Heat to the limit and elevated the elegance of the sport, the grace, the competitive ferocity and sportsmanship. As epic as these seven games had been – a Game 6 that'll be remembered as maybe the greatest Finals game – this series was a referendum on everything basketball ought to be at the highest level.

As broadcaster and former NBA coach Jeff Van Gundy walked out of American Airlines Arena, he said, "You know, it shows that you don't have to be an [expletive] to be a competitor, to be a great champion."
The victors full of grace and gratitude, the confetti dropped out of the rafters, and James and Wade went to embrace Duncan and the Spurs before they ever rushed into a celebration. Something happened across these two weeks – something galvanizing for the teams, something inspiring for the sport – and everyone on the floor understood in the final moments of a monumental series.

Two championships for James, and the comparisons come faster and faster to Jordan now. However far away he stands – yes, four titles – James has surpassed Jordan in ways already, a far more gracious winner, a far more complimentary teammate and rival. No climbing onto tables to declare his championship salvation, no marching defiantly with his MVP trophy. These were the NBA's forever Finals, born out of a championship struggle for the ages.

            • Peloton and Lowe with really good articles this morning, as always.

              At 28:

Kobe - 3 rings, 0 finals mvps, 0 regular seasons mvps
Jordan - 1rings, 1 finals MVP, 2 regular season mvps
Bron - 2 rings, 2 finals mvps, 4 regular season mvps.

Jordan came ino the league 3 years older than the other two.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

              • What's funny is how much I hated Leonard when he was with SDSU. Sure he was good, but he was a major threat to all that was Jimmer. After the series, I think he might be the best player out of that draft.

lol. Funk and Bron root for the same hockey team.

James and Kane established a mutual admiration this season, exchanging tweets and posing for a picture while each led his team to a memorable season. James won the regular-season and finals MVP after leading the Heat to their second consecutive title.

James congratulated the Hawks during their NHL-record 24-game streak to start the season without a regulation loss, and Kane countered with praise for James and Heat going on a 27-game win streak.

Kane and Hawks winger Patrick Sharp were courtside at the United Center on March 27 and posed for pregame pictures with James before the Bulls snapped the Heat's streak.

"I've been a big LeBron fan ever since he came into the league, and got a great respect for what he's done throughout his career," Kane told reporters at the time.
Sounds like the best player for Funk's favorite team is a huge LBJ fan as well. Awesome.

I am a huge Patrick Kane fan and will always be a huge Patrick Kane fan. However, he is with his faults including being a Bron Bron fan, caring more about getting drunk and getting laid in the offseason than improving his game (which this offseason he didn't do), and beating up Buffalo cab drivers. The Bron Bron problem is obviously the worst of his faults.

Kaner was deserving of the Conn Smythe. However, he isn't the Blackhawks best player that goes to Jonathan Toews.

A wizards source says they won't trade their pick for Luol Deng...who is this team and what have they done with my poor decision making Zards...?
"They're good. They've always been good" - David Shaw.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

dodged a bullet there. If there is a more overrated player in the league than Deng, I'm not familiar with him.
