Who at #3 do you want more than Deng? I don't follow the NBA like I used to, and haven't stayed current with this thread, but it seems like that would be almost a no-brainer for Washington.Originally posted by DrumNFeather View PostA wizards source says they won't trade their pick for Luol Deng...who is this team and what have they done with my poor decision making Zards...?

The problem is Deng has said he will not sign an extension. Which means you get him on a one year rental for the #3 pick. If he signed an extension you would have to consider it. The Wiz would be giving up Emeka Okafor and the #3 pick for Deng.Originally posted by scottie View PostWho at #3 do you want more than Deng? I see. I didn't realize Okafor was part of it.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostThe problem is Deng has said he will not sign an extension. Well, we've also been down this road before, trading the #5 pick for Mike Miller and Randy Foye. That pick turned out to be Ricky Rubio. I think the Wizards need to make the safe play here and go Otto Porter, then let the contracts of Ariza and Okafor expire, which would at least position them to have money to pay a FA next summer with a young nucleus to build around.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostThe problem is Deng has said he will not sign an extension. Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

It sounds like it will be Porter or Bennet.Originally posted by DrumNFeather View PostWell, we've also been down this road before, trading the #5 pick for Mike Miller and Randy Foye. It's almost like they are trying to figure out ways to talk themselves out of Porter. Still, he fits a need and is safe.Originally posted by Surfah View PostIt sounds like it will be Porter or Bennet."They're good. They've always been good" - David Shaw.

I watched Otto play a ton this last year and he progressively got better and attacked more and more. The kid is going to be a baller. As much as it pains me to say this due to his Georgetown lineage but I love his game.I'm your huckleberry.

We have officially found the first time that you have ever found any fault with Bron Bron, his enjoyment of the amazing NHL.Originally posted by BGRTHNUMEGO View PostKeep this lame sport crap out of the cool sport thread. As I lead this army, make room for mistakes and depression

Lots of stuff flying around now. I think the one that makes the most sense for both teams is LA sending Eric Bledsoe and Caron Butler to Orlando for Afflalo, Andrew Nicholson, and a future pick. That gives Orlando some crazy cap room next year when Butler's deal expires plus the PG they need so they can use the #2 pick on Noel or Oladipo. Afflalo seems like a nice fit in LA and Nicholson showed some promise.
I wonder though if having Afflalo and Crawford both there if it will make Pierce less likely to sign with the Clippers when the C's buy him out.

I bet the clippers try and swing a trade for howard.Originally posted by BGRTHNUMEGO View PostLots of stuff flying around now. I think they should do it. The draft isn't a good way to build a team unless you're A) really good at drafting (Utah isn't) or B) In the top three or four. Maybe Utah will be better at drafting with Lindsay.
If it doesn't work out you're on the hook for less time than a rookie deal. We need backup bigs anyways. Will donate kidney for B12 membership.
