      so true

I questioned the idea of the Princton offense in LA when I learned of it a few months ago. You just acquired Howard and you want to run a perimeter based offense with back cuts? Makes no sense at all.

I questioned it then too. Also questioned it when they hired Eddie Jordan to run it. His offense was let hibachi go off.

Coach Butthead: Doing less with more.

LA will be fine (of course) but they made a bad choice in hiring Brown. Even worse is that firing him would mean an assistant would be hired in the interim.

So who's out there calling games or in an assistant role that could come in and coach this team (let's assume PJ is not returning for a moment)?

It doesnt matter much which offense they run because Mike brown can't coach this team.

Nash looked awful last night. 4 assists and spending most of his time playing off the ball? That isn't his game.

Also, FT shooting has to improve. What an abomination.

Jax is the main storyline here. I would be surprised if Brown were to survive the season.

Even Jerry Sloan would be a huge improvement right about now. You have Nash, Pow, and D12. why the heck aren't you just pick and rolling the other team to death??

And why aren't you getting out and running? Both of the bigs love to run. As a Jazz fan I'm not complaining and it won't matter in the grand scheme but currently the Lakers are playing to win by 3 instead of 15.

I'm sure Kobe would be thrilled about playing for Jerry.

Kobe and Jerry get along really well. Might be a different story as player-coach, but as of right now they have a good relationship.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

I just don't see a guy like Jerry liking the freelancing that Kobe does. Jerry likes his patterned, disciplined offense run by a guy like Steve Nash. He would want to take the ball out of Kobe's hands.

Jerry has benched every player he's ever had that played like Kobe.

Then again, he might not know what to do with himself if he had Kobe. It might be an interesting dynamic.

                        Who were those players again?

I don't remember Sloan benching the "Rebound Thief"

I'm wondering that myself. I'm guessing he's referring to guys like Chris Morris, Giricek, Ak47, etc., who had a penchant for breaking out of the system and freelancing. But none of those guys are Kobe. Kobe's been a headache for every coach in what they're trying to do offensively, but he's Kobe. Not like Jerry's going to slam him to the pine or anything. I'm sure they'd butt heads here and there, but Jerry butted heads with everyone and ultimately they were fine (except for maybe DWill).

There's been plenty of guys he benched over the years who were better as freelancers and strayed slightly from his offense. Chris Morris comes to mind. Gordan Giricek, AK, DeShawn Stevenson, Carlos Arroyo, CJ Miles, etc etc etc.

I didn't say they were elite players, but he was always mad and taking it out on them via sitting on the bench if they strayed in the slightest from the control freak offense he runs.

Hell, he made Deron Williams sit behind two of the worst PGs to ever play in the league, Keith McCloud and Milt "Fish Sperm" Palacio.

I was excited when the Jazz got a new coach. I just didn't realize he'd coach the team exactly like Jerry did. So, after I realized that, I was disappointed.
