Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

    • The Thunderscats looked really good. First it was the holdovers from the 90s keeping LeBron from the title (Duncan, KG and Dirk). Now it's the younger superstar.

Apparently the answer is that some of them do not have lenses.

        • Why do the Heat refuse to run their offense in the 4th quarter? Typically, Wade or Lebron will dribble the ball at the top for 15 seconds or so, then rush a shot from isolation. If they'd run the offense, they'd win more easily. I thought they were better off last night with Chalmers at the point in the 2nd half. That way, at least they'd get some movement from Wade and Lebron, rather than standing around.

The obvious answer is because the inmates are running the asylum.

I tend to agree. Both Wade and Lebron would do this on their old teams before joining up. Ugly stuff, and ineffective. I used to blame Mike Brown. I still don't care much for Brown as a coach, but he probably wanted his team to run some plays.

Spoelstra might be the worst coach in the league. It's always hard to evaluate because his team wins so much, but it looks to me like he's pretty awful.

                • Opinions on getting tickets on Tuesday, should I be safe and Stubhub or risk the 3-4 hour drive and hope I can score in the street?

I think I've got clearance from ldc to take the older boys and leave the happiest family vacation on earth.

I'm not sure that any coach would get different results. I agree that Spoelstra is a terrible coach, but Jacob is right this is what James and Wade do. This is the way that James and Wade want to run the offense. I'm not sure there is any coach in the league that is a big enough personality to confront James and tell him that he needs to do it a different way. That is how you will get yourself fired.

                          • Heat digging a hole that based on their recent 4th quarter performances will be tough to get out of if they don't start now.

                            • Why does Joey Crawford have to ref every other game? He's terrible, he calls things too tightly and always falls for the Battier bullshit.
