Serious question--Is Jimmer on pace to graduate? I have no idea how he could be possibly caring more than the minimum number of required credits this semester, between practice, travel, daily interviews, shopping for dress shirts at Dillards, and carrying the weight of 2 million BYU fans how can he find time to study? Obviously his main degree with be an NBA, but I don't want this to be a Jimmy Mac situation of having to wait 30 years to hang his jersey from the rafters.

...there can be no argument that Fredette is getting the stuffing knocked out of him on a nightly basis, and this past week in particular, the whistle was swallowed more often than not.

It appears that Fredette's brilliance as a scorer and ease in finding different ways to score is leading officials to make him have to work even harder than lesser players to earn the whistle.

Jimmer coming up on Rome's TV show.

Jimmer nails it again. Lots of video of the most recent win against Utah. Jimmer credits the team and school, talks about not getting rattled during games, going to play prison ball, and NBA prospects.

Then Rome brings on Andrew Siciliano (host of DirecTV's Red Zone Channel) to discuss Jimmer in the NBA (among other things). Siciliano notes that Jimmer is just not a spot up shooter, but can create his own shot; also sees him as a potential all-star. Notes Jimmer wants to take the big shot. Rome doesn't know that he is an all-star, but doesn't want to bet against the Jimmer.

Kornheiser had Jim O'Connell on his show last week and they talked a little Jimmer. Tony isn't even positive BYU can get to the Sweet 16 (he's such an east coaster), but O'Connell gives BYU a good chance to get to the Final Four because of Jimmer.

I don't know the real answer but on Rome the other day Jimmer said he only had two classes that day. They were Christian Studies and Doctrine and Covenants. Rome didn't ask what the Hell the last class was about.

Well, I didn't see the game but my (masochistic) Ute fan friends who did say Jimmer was getting the calls, not the other way around. I believe them.

p.s. - Wasn't there a pretty significant disparity in fouls called between BYU and Utah? I really don't know but saw someone complaining about that. I believe that person too.

The Jimmer is in the same position in the Christmas photo that I had in my prom picture. The neck, head and shoulders are leaning in but the pelvis is oh so slightly out.
