That will be a great game. No doubt that BYU will bust out the white curtain intro for the Utah game. After watching the Utes roll out the dry ice machine and 40 foot extension cords at the Dumpsman Center, I'm sure BYu doesn't want to get upstaged.

Get ready to rock. The MC will be jumpin'.

In fact, I will say this to any and all BYU fans that have ears to hear....if you are at all contemplating it, just go ahead and come to Mecca. This E ticket ride is ending pretty soon and who knows if we will ever see it again. Do not miss the chance to see him while is wearing the BYU uniform. You won't regret coming.
My seats are Level A section 128 Row 20. Sounds like I might be in the very top row.

Same here, if not even more than before after watching this game. For all the criticism he's getting about his defensive effort, I can't imagine how hard it would be to have put a team on your back like that every game, playing for a top 20 team expected to win every night with a target on your back. That was an incredible performance in a hostile environment, IMO.

          • We are who we are. Losing the older Collinsworth really hurts. Not much of a bench really. We got killed by two freshman on the other team. One of them is not a starter.

I am frankly very happy with how well we are doing so far. I didn't expect it.

                • I watched the game in our fitness room while on my bike on the trainer. Normally, I have to really focus to get my heart-rate above 115. Today I was cruising along watching The Jimmer and I looked down and I was at 139! I backed off, but it seemed that no matter how slow I went, I could not get my heart-rate below 125. Yowza.

Not sure why anyone wouldn't still support him. He did nothing wrong today, 50% of the team points is his part. Just tough to win without anyone playing D and no other offense.

If Jimmer had even a borderline NBA player on his side this would be nearly a lock F4 team.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

                          • Getting amped for Jimmer in the Jungle.

                            Here's Rome's take last week:

Almost nothing ever lives up to the hype, except BYU’s Jimmer Fredette. And considering I’m about to drop three straight burns on the guy, that’s a boatload of hype. But he delivered, on his biggest stage, and in BYU’s biggest game ever. Maybe you had heard he led the nation in scoring, bombing and draining 40 footers like they’re free throws, while going for 27 a game. Well, he didn’t get 27; he dropped 43 on San Diego St. last night and he dropped them by any means necessary: runners….floaters…ankle breakers…and oh-no-he-didn’t-ers. Dude carved SDSU with skip to my Lou’s handle and thunder Dan Majerle’s range. Last night he went from electric scorer to full on phenom. You know you’ve arrived when the fans are crafting your name into a verb; and BYU fans were hitting the Aztecs with the “You got Jimmered” chant as they ate their first loss. And they did. Jimmer jimmered the snot out of them. Jimmer-mania. He’s the NCAA’s Blake Griffin. Only 40 feet from the basket instead of 40 inches off the floor.

And in 2011, you haven’t gotten off and blown up in a big game unless twitter says you have, and there’s a hashtag next to your name before the game’s over. Any jock can have a big night, but if you can get other cats to thumb out 140 characters of props, then you know you’ve done something special. And if Fredette can get Kevin Durant to tweet , “Jimmer Fredette is the best scorer in the world”, you know he had a night. And ballers love ballers. Which is why John Wall tweeted, “Jimmer is cold. Respect!” Guarantee J-Dub jumped off his couch and dropped the dougie when Jimmer hit 40. And how about a performance so big that it jumps genres on the twitterspshere: rappers and other artists hyped the kid: Nelly thought Jimmer was getting it way hot in here: “If u like college basketball like me u have to check out this dude name Jimmer Fredette from BYU he is definitely the truth!!” How nice was Fredette? So nice he brought dude from the Counting Crows, out to compare him to Deron Williams: “…I remember Williams in college. Fredette looks comparable to that.” Uh great, thanks. Can’t wait for dude from the Spin Doctors to weigh in, and the cat from the Gin Blossoms to jump on the Jimmer train. You haven’t had a big night unless you’re hearing from Silver Chair.

So clearly, there is mad respect everywhere for Jimmer. He’s the next big thing? Or is he? Maybe. But weren’t we saying the exact same thing about Adam Morrison…Wally Szcerbiak. Luke Jackson. Luke Ridnour. Gordon Hayward. And Trajan Langdon. And if twitter were around then, wouldn’t Vanilla Ice and Candlebox_have been tweeting crazy props at all those guys ? I love the guy; he dropped 43 on the nation’s 4th ranked team the cat’s pure: he’s a great scorer. There’s no debating that. But now that everyone has seen Fredette, the conversation is already shifting to how will he do on the next level. And as much as I’d love to see him dominate in the association, I don’t see it. Any of you ever remember a time where there so many dominant point guards in the league: Chris Paul, Derrick Rose, Rajon Rondo, Deron Williams, Tony Parker, Steve Nash, John Wall, Russell Westbrook, and Stephen Curry. Freddette has that sick range and quick release, but less than average quickness, and lateral movement. And lacking the athleticism of the guys I just mentioned, how is he going to stay in front of them, much less get his shot off against them. No NBA team is going to build its offense around a 6-2 guard so he can get off his quick three’s. I could be wrong. I hope I am. But better to appreciate his dominance right now because I don’t see him doing it on the next level.
