With a healthy Camby the Blazers have potential on defense.Originally posted by BGRTHNUMEGO View PostAnd beyond that, when he's motivated, he is a solid defender against a 3 or 4 and a very good rebounder.

Oh yeah, anyway OKC is better with Perk and Westbrook and Durant are a year older, and also only have one more loss than the Lakers right now. It's possible OKC would have home court in a potential second round matchup this year.Originally posted by HBCoug View PostAhem ... 6 games. The Lakers closed it out in OKC on a "Pow putback"™Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

Good comparison. Raja Bell is in his mid 30s and Kevin Durant is 22.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostI love the year older rationale.

I don't know. I don't really worry about the Lakers having home court advantage. Champions know how to win on the road. The Lakers have won at least one road playoff game in eight straight series dating back to the 2008 Finals where they couldn't get a win in Boston, and 11 of 12 series if you extend beyond that Finals matchup. That road winning streak includes wins in Boston, Orlando, OKC, Denver, PHX, and a whole bunch in Utah--pretty much some of the toughest arenas for a road team to win in. Looking at records, the Lakers are a much better road team this year than last. The question is, can OKC win in LA? I haven't seen it yet, so what happens if/when LA steals a game in OKC? I'm not trying to downplay how good the Thunder are or are going to be. They're a great young team. But they haven't proven they can win tough road playoff games like the Lakers and Spurs have. Maybe this is the year they break through.Originally posted by Color Me Badd Fan View PostOh yeah, anyway OKC is better with Perk and Westbrook and Durant are a year older, and also only have one more loss than the Lakers right now. You are correct. Amazingly enough, Golden State won the game he went 0-17 in. Jason Kidd and Quenton Richardson also had 1-17 games, but nobody has gone 1-18.Originally posted by smokymountainrain View PostI thought Tim Hardaway went 0-17 or something like that, once.

Interesting that all those guys - outside of Richardson - were perennial all-stars, even borderline HOFers. I guess you have to be pretty damn good just to have the freedom to jack up 17-18 shots without making any.I'm like LeBron James.

Bonus: of the 88 0 for 10+ games in the NBA, two of them have come from players on the Jazz.Originally posted by smokymountainrain View PostI thought Tim Hardaway went 0-17 or something like that, once.
Capn Crunch with an 0-11 game against Kevin Garnett's Minnesota Timberwolves where the Jazz won 94-80 thanks to 25 from Matt Harpring.
Gordon "Don't Call me Hayward" Giracek went 0-11 against Ray Allen's Seattle Supersonics, and the Jazz won 99-86 thanks to 27 from AK and 23 each from Raja Bell and Carless Arroyo.

A lot of them were, like Malone, Drexler, and Hardaway. But there are quite a few scrubs in there as well, guys like Adam Morrison, Mark Madsen, Rasheed McCants and Andre Miller.Originally posted by smokymountainrain View PostInteresting that all those guys - outside of Richardson - were perennial all-stars, even borderline HOFers.
